I know the majority of us here might not have the best experiences with our families when it comes to Christmas Day, and I can see how watching the saints might make it more bearable, but on principle this still upsets me.

I don’t like how NFL players are forced to play/work on a day they should be able to enjoy with their families and give due honor to God.

At the very least I could understand an argument for a game late Christmas evening (like 7PM) but even then it’s not like it would change the players work schedule that much.

I'm not happy about it at all. I'd much prefer it on Sunday at noon or SNF

So playing on Sundays at noon is also a problem?

Personally, I'm excited for the game. I do wish that it was at 2:30 so that it would not bleed into dinner, but that's about it.

well if you believe in the Bible and keeping the Lord’s Day Holy then yes actually. Unnecessary labor should be avoided...but we lost that battle to the secular world many years ago. Now it seems the next step is taking Christ out of Christmas...happy holidays right?

Yep. Have to board a flight to Denver literally right at kickoff. Lots of fantasy players going for me too in the championship i won't be able to watch.

Our usual Christmas extravaganza has been scaled down to a small (but enjoyable) Christmas Eve dinner which I am now back from. I am looking forward to watching the game.

No.

My daughter's birthday is on Sunday and she wants to go to Six Flags for it. Playing tomorrow keeps me from missing the game and checking my phone every 5 minutes while I stand in line.

frick no. I can’t go see family, so at least I can enjoy the small feast we’re cooking, the Pelicans, and the Saints.

What? Boo hoo. Give me 120 million over the course of 10 years and I'll play every day of the year.

I don’t mind it. I think the players will enjoy getting a couple extra days off also.

We're playing this game today b/c the NFL has mandated every team must play 1 "early week" game

This is our Thursday night game that this time just happened to fall on Christmas Eve & Day

The NFL didn't seek out a game on Christmas... they just put themselves into a bind with a Thursday game and had to figure out a way to get the most eyes on it

Thanksgiving is the NFL's holiday... Christmas is typically the NBA's holiday of note

A lot of people have to work on Christmas. Sucks for them but they are making millions

I love football on Christmas Day. The Saints playing makes it even better.
