re: Anyone else think Drew Brees is kind of lame as a football commentator?

The main problem is he tries to be to technical, explaining how every play is designed and rain,he uses his knowledge more than needed

Some people have a real tendency to point out what they perceive as weakness in others but gloss over their own weakness. I'll bet you cave (compromise) on a daily basis. Whether it involves an issue in your family or at work when a boss tells you to do something you don't think you should but you cave in and do it because the alternative could be rather unpleasant. Unless you can prove that you have never ever caved in (compromised) in any situation you are no more than a hypocrite whether woke or not. You have no way of truly knowing if he did what he did to please someone or protect his family or any other myriad of reasons.

And, he isn't quick with his words.

I disagree with whoever said he was worse in the studio. I think he is bearable in the studio, bc he has time to think, but he is horrible working a live game. Too much dead time when it is his turn.

That fake, greedy pos will eventually get better and make that grandpa, who would also say frick him, proud.

Well, given how some seeminly innocuous comments were taken a couple of years ago, I kinda get his hesitation.

You can tell the football knowledge is extensive, he's just too stiff at this point. I think he'll improve the longer he's in front of the camera

Brees is and always has been too PC to seem interesting. He’s always “on” and never gives an opinion about something off the cuff unless he thinks the answer is pleasing to his audience. He’s like a politician. Talking points essentially. yes, he’s boring as frick and says nothing other than the obvious.

There are very few I’d rather have in my huddle but anywhere else he’s just another guy and not a world class talent

Also, Tirico and Dungy must be borderline midgets. Brees is noticeably taller than both of them.
