That would be fantastic!

He is balling with garbage OL against Dallas, stepping out of the pockets and throwing bullets.

What a Great QB. Whoever gets him will be set for years to come.

(If) he’s available (when) Brees leaves.. is the situation I suppose that’d be as good as any way to go. It’d be better than banking on a first round overall guy to do it for you on week 1 even though it seems to be working well in Philly and LA that’s the exception not the rule

He had 3 turnovers tonight, that’s not balling.

I want us to sign Case Keemun. He could back up Drew a few years then start right when he would be hitting his prime. He won’t be a HOF or anything, but I think he will turn out to be a solid NFL QB.

If Drew does leave, his dead money for 2018 would be $18 million and in 2019 $12 million.

But on a side note, Cutting Fleener will save $3.2 Million....

Contract Notes
Drew Brees signed a one year contract extension worth $24.25 million, all of which is guaranteed, on September 7, 2016 with the Saints. Brees, who had been scheduled to earn $20 million in 2016 will now earn $31.25 million, including a $30 million signing bonus per Andrew Brandt. The contract contains three voidable contract years to prorate the signing bonus. The new contract reduces Brees cap number from $30 million to $17.25 million in 2016. Brees has a no trade clause and can not be franchise tagged when his contract voids. If the contract voids and Brees is not extended the Saints will carry a dead money charge of $18 million in 2019 for Brees. The deadline for the void is the final day of the 2017 league year.

I went to the same site and cutting him put $18 million on 2018’s salary cap. That year in the comment maybe wrong.

You realize he's going to get $25mil+ for probably 5 years, right?

You sign him and you're basically guaranteeing mediocrity for the next 5 seasons, just like DET did with Stafford.
