Ran into AJ Klein at the Thoth parade earlier today. He and his wife along with their dogs were taking in their 1st Mardi Gras. I told him appreciated everything he brought this season and hope the injury is healing nicely. He said he's feeling real good and appreciated the support. Gave him his 1st beads of the season. Hopefully the guy stays around a long time; solid player and very down to earth individual.

Was a huge loss for us along with the other 15 starters! A healthy team might just have won it all!

No brace. Looked perfectly fine. I'd suspect he's full go for OTA's unless they're just being extra cautious.

The good news is now we go into this year with backups that have starting experience.

A genuine CSB. Thanks for sharing. He brings the brains that out defense needs. I wish we had a pro bowl speedster next to him on the LB corps though.

In the pic above looks like he has a brace on his left arm.

It’s crazy how good the Panthers LB core was the last few years when Klein was their also. Dude wasn’t even a starter and a beast

He definitely didn't have that brace on today. Had a long sleeve, brown Levi's shirt on with the sleeves rolled halfway up the forearm.

That was creepily specific...

Wasn't it a completely torn hip adductor?

Robertson and Te'o already had starting experience. That's why there wasn't a noticeable drop off (except maybe in communication a bit).

Honestly I prefer the Robertson/Te'o combo, with Klein in on run downs.

Would like a upgrade on each side of AJ. Tired of having a below average LB'er corp. We have good talent and depth everywhere but at linebacker. I can dream.

I didn't like him as the Mike, and I preferred it when we moved him to Sam (though he was still calling plays).

Robertson and Te'o both seem to be much better Mikes, though Robertson is also a good Will (though not healthy Ellerbe good).

If anything I'd prefer we upgrade over Klein himself and get someone more rangy like we had in Vilma. Let Klein stay Sam as he's good against the run but subpar against the pass and as a blitzer. Te'o backs up the new Mike.

Good point. I like a couple of the lb'ers in the draft. The one from Texas and Edmunds from VT of course both have good size and speed.
We are so loaded with high quality backups as in Teo and Robinson but need some legit starting prospects. The few LB'ers I liked in FA look to be pricey or staying with their teams.
