“The total in the Saints/Eagles game is set at just 50.5, but 96% of the betting money is on the over according to The Action Network. Sharp bettors expect this game to go over. 55 points were scored in the first meeting between these two teams, and neither defense has improved tremendously since then. In fact, the Eagles should be in an even better position now with Nick Foles, who gets the ball out quicker than Carson Wentz, and can neutralize the Saints defensive line. Expect this one to be a shootout.”
– Anthony Amico (RotoViz)

This is from a betting article on Fantasy Pros. If true, you have to expect that line to drastically climb, right?

I would expect the officials to keep it under 50.5 then. Otherwise Vegas is going to get slaughtered in this one.

This is a weird quote. I mean most of those 55 points were scored by the Saints. Makes it sound like it was a 28-27 shootout and neither defense could get a stop

Saints 35-Eagles 21 would be a very reasonable final score and would cover 55.

Hey Anthony, did you look at the final score in that game to see who did all the scoring? Jesus.

Shootout? They have no run game.
And no better in passing really.
Foles in last few games is serviceable but no master. 74% completion rate and averaging 250 yards per game.

Won’t be a gimme but the only reason to take the over is if somehow the Saints offense has a coming out party like 2010 against the Cards.

The Saints have averaged 34 points per game when Cheffers is the head official in their games.

How many points do they think Philly scored that game?
