8th anniversary of Super Bowl 44 today
Where were you?

I was with family in Ascension Parish. Went down to the quarter after. Most unbelievable scene ever. People literally abandoning their cars on the interstate just to get to canal street.

The sea of humanity on Bourbon was incredible.

Let’s reminisce boys.

This was one of the first reaction videos I saw to the Porter interception. Simply awesome.

I was at cats.

Basically walked around the quarter all day looking for options. Sometime around noon I peeked in to see what was up and saw someone getting the little bar outside ready. I asked if it was open to the public and he said yes. I grabbed some stools for me and some family/friends and had a front row seat at that courtyard bar. It was packed a couple of hours later. Got drenched after the int and ran out on bourbon.

That video is the greatest YouTube video of all time. I get chills every time I watch it. Pure fricking joy at that tropical isle (I’m assuming).

After that pick 6 I was running around my parents house screaming like an idiot. I remember trying to call all my friends to meet up on bourbon but all the phones were down. The entire city exploded at that moment haha.

I will never forget Jim Henderson's line of "It's time to party with the Lombardi, New Orleans!"

I was there screaming like a maniac. The stadium went nuts. The Colts fan next to me congratulated me after that play and took off for the exit. I'm not sure there could have been a nicer fanbase that just lost the championship than the Colts. i lost count of the # of times I heard "congratulations" by people in blue and white.

I don’t really understand how a football game can make a grown man cry. I was beyond elated and screaming and jumping, but I was nowhere near tears. Odd to me.

My father, a long suffering Saints fan, passed away at the onset of the Championship season.

As a child, we would cheer first downs, single game scores, and the occasional victories together.

His passing left me sad and it took awhile for me to enjoy and appreciate the Saints remarkable season.

When the Saints won the Super Bowl, I cried.

I thought of my Dad, Hap, and Buddy D watching from above.

The season was bittersweet.

I am sure a lot of Dixie Beers were left at grave sites and some tears were shed.

Been following this franchise since birth.

I thought I would go to the grave without seeing a Super Bowl.

Thought my dad would never see them get one. Hes been a season ticket holder since 67.

I've sat in the Dome for years watching us get our fricking arse kicked every Sunday.

Goddamn right I cried.

Who Dat.

No matter how many times I watch this replay, I always get chills! As Bama/saints fan this is my best football season of my life.

I don't see the issue with crying over something that you are passionate about. Some people cry, some people eat horse sh*t. We all celebrate different
