just some humor for those actually read
The brass tacks: Bidding started well north of $200 million for a single season (with an NFL option for a second) and CBS eventually beat out Fox, NBC, ABC/ESPN, and Turner. But it wasn't quite a full package being bid on—of the 16 games, CBS will produce all of them but broadcast just eight, with the NFL Network airing the remainder (and simulcasting the CBS-aired games).
In conclusion, the NFL is an unstoppable monster. The league just got hundreds of millions of dollars for the right to let someone else produce 16 games, while the NFL Network gets to air them all anyway.

They're not adding games. Those games will be simulcast on CBS & NFLN.

There were 14 Thursday night games on NFLN this year. There are 16 NFLN/CBS next year. I'm suspecting the math might say more.

Saints/Falcons has become of the biggest NFL rivalries and has been in primetime many times since 2006.
The Saints play an infinitely greater number of home primetime games than road primetime games. They love to be here and they can control the conditions.
Those games (minus the flexed games) are more often than not against big-name and/or East Coast teams (Cowboys, Eagles, Dolphins, Packers, Patriots, Giants have all been home SNF/MNF opponents in the Dome)
With that being said, our primetime schedule will be:
Thursday vs. Falcons
Sunday vs. San Francisco (or Green Bay)
Monday at Pittsburgh or Chicago (or Dallas)

Home = Packers, 49ers
Away = Panthers, possibility of being flexed into a primetime game with Atlanta if they bounce back

The package includes a week 16 Saturday doubleheader.
