12 million to go

12 million left to go to get to the cap. Getting a Ram and Lattimore contract done could save them some cap space as well. So this is all going to work. The bigger thing is getting fans back in the stands so the cap gets back moving up next year or it’s going to be even worse.

The new TV deals are going to spike the cap a ton regardless of fans in stands or not

Saints need 7 mil for draft class. Brees becomes June 1st cut. Saints should have enough money.

We still have gaping holes at CB and OLB. May need to create more cap space than just the minimum to get under the cap

This isn't quite correct. Anyone drafted would replace someone in the top 51 or not be in the top 51. Only 1st and 2nd rounders really make a cap impact.
Being that we have a late 1st and 2nd, we're looking at about $2.5 mil added to the cap from the rookies.
Edit:
Just checked overthecap and it's right about $2.7 mil.

Depends on who we trade for him.
If we include Taysom Hill, Lattimore, and Peat we are about there.

Trading Taysom Hill gets the Saints the $12 million.

Juju is a very average receiver and is going to get overpaid. He was the third best receiver on the Steelers roster which is why they are letting him walk

We really should trade taysom unless they plan on him being the starter. With our salary cap issues we just don't have the luxury of having the league's most expensive backup. Would hate to see him go for sure .

That has been a lot of progress during the last week or so.
