Saints have an impressive record, but it's hardly been the impressive level of play they showed last October-November. They show spurts of being great in each phase, but can't seem to put it all together at the same time. I'm actually encouraged that the saints can win games without playing complete football. Hopefully the peak is coming in December-January this season instead of October-November like last season. Hopefully that starts Sunday at 12

We're a 7-5 team in a 10-2 body

Which isn't a huge problem, and is honestly a blessing that we have the luxury of this cushion to figure out whatever it is we need to figure out before the playoffs start.

If we had this defense with last years offense no game would be within 14 points

as crazy as it sounds we would be a better team now with drew as backup because then we would run the ball and dominate teams rather then barely steal victorys by the skin of our asses

the reason we look so bad is drew and payton want to be 90% pass only in games and thats why we look so bad

You are what your record says you are. It doesn’t matter if we go 4-0 or 0-4 here on out, we are guaranteed to be playing a playoff game in the Dome. Anything can happen at that point. We have some serious issues to address, but we are in the playoffs and that is the first step to winning a title.

This was also where Brees’ arm fell apart after that hit in last year s Atlanta game.

We are in a better situation than last year.

That's my point. I don't think we've peaked yet. We peaked at the wrong time last year

The offense cant peak if players keep getting hurt

Trequan twice now
Kirkwood all year
Our Left side of the OL

We are doing the most we can but until we get some of those guys back and in regards to the WRs without them kicking it up a notch going to be difficult to project when or if we peak

I do agree we obviously peaked at the wrong time last year

There is a reason Drew keeps saying "we haven't played our best game yet".

We are a 10-2 team. We aren’t 6-6 or 7-5 or 8-4. We are one of the best teams in the NFL when we put it all together. Actually, if it weren’t for penalties, Lattimore being out and the OL being out, I’m pretty confident we would be dominating people the way the 49ers and Ravens are.

Injuries
Penalties

That’s the only two things holding us back. Cook has emerged as our secondary option. He had an off game but still helped us move the ball a good bit despite Thomas having an off night. Ginn is fine as a third or fourth option as long as AK, Thomas and Cook are the first three. We just need to run the ball more with Murray and get our guys healthy and we’ll start humming again. People need to relax. We won the division. Super Bowl teams have looked like shite in November before. I mean shite just last year the Patriots has a rough run from mid November to mid December and still won the Super Bowl.
