1st year and 2nd year per 36 ppg

19.1, 23.1
29.1, 27.7

Need I say who is who.

These comps are always kind of silly though. The era that Zion is playing in now is much faster than when Lebron started and defense was actually a thing when Lebron first joined the league. All that being said Zion has shown unreal ability at only 20...could definitely be an all time great if he works hard and avoids injury.

Chucking inefficient shots isn’t a thing and 42 mpg to tally high ppg

I actually agree with this even though all the 80-90s Jordan nostalgic love acts like defense was really played back then. Shaq changed defenses and people could play zones when Zion started. Imagine if Zion could play one-on-one like back in the day with no zone to clog the paint.

Teams used zone principles in the 80's and 90's, it's almost impossible to have effective doubles/triple teams without it. After the Pistons' "Bad Boy" defenses became popular, the NBA did become more of a defensive league. Triple figure ppg changed to 90 ppg for most of the NBA. That was the standard until the NBA established rules to speed up the game and make things more perimeter friendly. Go look up how Jordan had 2-3 guys forcing him to certain areas on the court. The entire NBA mimicked the Pistons defensive tactics to some degree. The game is easier now for the pros than it has ever been.

Zion’s career will never be half as good as Bron’s

You mean 4-6 in the finals? Or the fact he couldn't ever win without another top 5 player?

This is such a lazy argument. For the sake of discussion, I'll give you Dirk and even Isiah. How many more players considered to be the "number one" guy have won a championship without an awesome "number two"?

Magic had Kareem
Bird had McHale
MJ had Scottie
Shaq & Kobe
00's Boston Big 3
Warriors Dynasty

It's such a lazy argument.

Kyrie wasn't a top 5 player when they beat the warriors

He played like a top 5 player in that series though.

And no one knows how good zion will be. If he develops a shot he will be unstoppable. Half as good as lebron is easily doable.

Yea, and how lazy is just outright saying Zion will never be half as good as Lebron's? Sheesh

It's already obvious that Zion is going to be a game-changing player.

Shaq changed the game, in that opponents needed to have a giant at center, or Shaq would just dunk on every possession. Dirk changed the game, in that he was the beginning of big guys shooting lots of 3s. Steph changed the game, in that he was the beginning of the idea that a shot several feet behind the 3pt-line could still be a good shot.

In the same way, there's never been a player like Zion. He has no good comps. He's going to change the game.

Zion is putting up numbers early even Shaq didn’t dominate like.
