Hasn't shown his defense side of the game. Thought we would have watched a few blocks or steals so far..

Well, he has looked like the best player on our team, and arguably the best player on either team in the 3 games we have played. Considering our team has multiple vets, Jrue holiday, Lonzo Ball, and BI, I would say that’s pretty good.

Dude, it’s an A at the very least. Watching him in person tonight was amazing. All I could do was laugh at how easy he made it look at times. It took AD years to have an NBA ready body and game. Zion has it NOW.

Early on Zion will not carry the team, but he will have an 18/8 stat line at the very least without trying

He's shooting 84% his last 2 games.

Offensively, yeah. He has been spectacular. Better than any could have hoped.

Defensively it’s been rough. There have been a lot of people on twitter and so on with some great analysis of just how lost on D he is so far. The good part is that he’s a rookie, it’s preseason, and almost all rookies are shite on defense initially. Everyone thought Toni was going to be all world defensively and it took him awhile.

He’s gotten better each game. Game 1 he was very lost at times and was extremely winded in the 2nd half. Now games 2 and 3 he was hyper efficient and looks to be getting his sea legs. He is damn impressive around the rim and in transition.

Great stuff is on the horizon.

My thoughts are that he looks like he could be the best player in the league some day.

It’s extremely rare for a rookie to come into the league and plays good defense right off the bat. It takes time. Expecting him to be great defensively from day 1 is unrealistic.

Even Davis struggled defensively in his rookie year. It’s a process and it’s tough for bigs to adjust to the NBA especially at 19. People are too concerned about nothing.

What the hell are you talking about “takes”?

I’ve been all Zion all offseason, I make one comment after the 1st preseason game about his conditioning and poor D in that game and all of a sudden I have “bad Zion takes” as if it was more than 1?

Quit lying. You people are truly nuts.

Not even talking about that one, but it was dumb too

Zion’s game, in my opinion, will be pretty limited early, and he lacks height and length for the position. He will need a smart PG to put him in positions for him to success and maximize his athleticism.

Because he can’t shoot yet, and is very short for a PF. He’s an athlete with good handles, that lacks length to play down low but is heavier than almost all NBA players already.

What do you find strange bubba

I’m just laughing at your progression here bunchy. In may you start a thread saying we needed to put these pieces around Zion bc of his “limitations” and you went on for 3 pages about it, then after the first preseason game he’s out of shape, now it only took 3 preseason games and he’s better offensively “than anyone could’ve hoped” and by anyone you mean you

I don’t want to cash receipts like this. I just found it a bit ridiculous. You can harp on his defense still at least

I don’t even get where this comes from. I mean yea it may take him a hit to get used to the NBA 3 distance, but Zion has never not been able to shoot 3s to my knowledge.

What could you have possibly said to feel the need to edit it a few minutes after

Dont act like you’ve never called out some slapdick take before bunchy. When someone fires one off here or on Saints talk sometimes it just resonates and sticks with ya. You admitted it was dumb (even though you called me a nutty liar wtf)

Glad we can get this out the way now bc you were gonna hear about it regardless

The one about Zion needing a PG to put him in position to score sounds ridiculous now. But bunchie is usually spot on. Smoke a bowl bro

His FT shooting is more important than his long range shooting imo. Improve one thing at a time

19/24 79% thus far from the line in the preseason. Would be huge if it held true.

He's barely old enough to buy a pack of American Spirit Yellows and he's killing it against proper NBA players.

A++++ WOULD DRAFT AGAIN.
