Where do you get this stuff from?

I don’t know it all, but I have never seen a formal report he was injured, but I did see a sect of fan speculation after the Houston series that didn’t want to admit he just sort of played bad, because to be quite honest, Adams, outside of game 1, kind of played almost soft at times and was rightfully getting clowned on by observers and had guys like Dwade scratching their head as to why he didn’t impose his will on Houston’s small lineup like game one. Where Donovon kept him out the fourth quarter in game five and then Adam’s struggled down the stretch in games 6 and 7.

The year before he was identified as one of the main reasons the Blazers were getting what they wanted at will by isolating and exploiting Adams slow footedness. He was allowing 1.18 point per pick and roll, putting him in the bottom sixth percentile of all pick and roll defenders in the playoffs that year. Ultimately leading to Donovan sitting Adams the entire fourth quarter in game 4 and game 5.

Personally, I think this is a team that can top out in the low to even high 40’s in terms of wins this year or next, but I do think may find some serious struggles against the more versatile offensive and defensive teams in this league going forward, and especially as we become regulars in the playoffs. Part of that will be because of our old school front court dynamic featuring Adams, who isn’t some transcendent big like Gobert that is unable to be exploited in the ways modern offenses have exploited traditional bigs(he’s just one of the better versions of it), the other will be the lack of spacing/floor balance with our core unit(unless improved). And if you want a distillation of how that can look, see the Bucks game from last year when we had a healthy Favors/Zion/Ingram and just got dominated because good teams are going to be able to disrupt rhythm and harass your players on the perimeter and exploit your spacing issues by using a combo of strength and length to frustrate Zion next to offensively limited traditional centers. And it’s not just as simple as saying we have good shooting in the aggregate when that often relies on going to flawed lineups that good teams will exploit.

Now the Bucks did that to practically everyone, but teams like Philly, Utah, LA, Mil, LAC, IND can replicate all or different versions, but you don’t have to play those teams all the time...until you do in the playoffs or beyond. And ultimately that’s what I am focused on, since that’s what matters.

My biggest concern is backup sf. Hart imo is not a true sf, but rather a sg. If Ingram goes down, who is the backup? We need some type of reliable vet imo. Thoughts?
