Y’all think Willie had any input on the transaction?
May have been touched on already here. Coaching announcement made and trade announced shortly after. Y’all think it was in the works or being talked about and he was consulted?

I’d hope so

I mean, Willie Green better not have had to think about for two seconds.

Here on this board, we can debate the long-term value of Valanciunas relative to the one year left on his contract, versus the value of next-year's Lakers pick and this year's pick swap, but for Green, the question is:

Do I want Jonas Valanciunas or Steven Adams to be my starting center this year. Again, that better not have been a tough call for him.

They aren’t even going to let him do lineups, do I doubt it

The days of coaches having full autonomy are mostly gone. I'm sure a few teams, like Pop in San Antonio are a bit old school, but coaches simply don't have full autonomy like they used to any more, this is really not out of the ordinary in today's game.

If by input, you mean was he told it was going to occur? Sure. Was he asked his opinion on it? Probably not, they were going to do that deal regardless. It was probably in the works before he was even officially hired.

If you saw the press conference it's clear he's just a cog in the machine. I can see them getting his opinion in general "how do you think these pieces fit together?" terms. But I doubt he had any impact on the decision unless he made a good point they hadn't considered.
