I'd trade ad for Hayward, rozier, and Tatum. Oh add a non-Boston 1st too.
If we're gonna be ridiculous, I'm gonna take everything.

Pelicans will hold onto Davis until he demands a trade and they get nothing.

you are probably right.
Not nothing but not the haul they could get now.
we have look at this potential trade as a gm, not a fan.
First of all, you can't have the Celtics entire first team as proposed above as a sign people love AD. Ok we get it, you won't deal him ever.
You'd get two starters and a first rounder if you do it now.
Next year this time with only one year left on ad you won't get Tatum.
Of course he will be asked a zillion times. Sad. Just let him do his best now.

I don't think trade him early. Give us to the very last second to convince him to stay. If it means taking a lesser package, so be it. But you never, ever give up on a talent like Davis.
And you'll always be able to get something pretty decent for him, because every team knows if he goes on the market, it will be up to Davis who he chooses.
So if a competing team offers the best package while he's still contracted and you can convince Dell your package shouldn't be turned down, you have the best chance of landing him.
Plus you get his Bird Rights if you trade for him, which is super important for a contender
I wouldn't be surprised if the huge offers start flowing in soon.
The 4D chess game that is Davis' NBA future, has just begun

Would you trade Anthony Davis for Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum?

Simply to make salaries work you probably need to have Hayward or Smart in the deal.
Hayward/Tatum/Rozier for AD/Ajinca/Miller works salary-wise.
Smart/Tatum/Brown for AD also works.
And obviously no way in fricking hell you do either unless AD tells you he's walking at the end of his deal and you can't change his mind.
But if he did, obviously Boston has the most to offer. If you hang on to Jrue, Niko, and Randle, a lineup of Smart/Jrue/Tatum/Niko/Randle with Brown off the bench or Rozier/Jrue/Hayward/Niko/Randle with Tatum off the bench is still pretty competitive.

Yes because Tatum.is almost as good and will probably get a little better than he is.
ok bud
Tatum is almost as good as Jrue, not even close to AD.
