Such a casual take to shite on that trade simply because cousins had a catastrophic injury.
We were still looking to get Niko regardless of the injury. Imagine having a healthy cousins locked up in a 4 or 5 year deal with niko, jrue and AD. We'd be top 4 at worst this year.

You can't evaluate the trade based on hindsight, especially due to a freak injury. The Pelicans realized they had to grab a big name in an attempt to keep AD. It didn't work. That doesn't mean it was a bad decision.
