David Griffin said initially that Zion won't be playing in any back to backs as part of his return to play protocol, but that they will have to see what he looks like once he starts to play. It's possible that since he's up to nearly 32 mins that it may be lifted. I also think a lot of it depends on how the game goes tonight. I would imagine if they knew for sure he wasn't going to play in it, they would have made a statement or not accepted the invite and maybe Jaxson could have played.

We play the Mavs, Clippers, Kings and the Wizards on the 2nd half of the 4 remaining b2b games.

Don't have any B2Bs until March I don't think. Griff had said in the past he probably would't play in those but I imagine we will see.

Yep, see that now. That's quite a bit to still have 4 left.

I am hoping this is one instance where the Pels under promise and over deliver. Set expectations for him not to play, just in case he dpesnt feel healthy enough. Let him be a pleasant surprise when he does suit up

Didn't register that you are talking about rising star.

I will say this, if Ingram can't go tonight he absolutely should skip the All-Star game too.

Edit: by skip I mean just dress and take it in.

If I had to guess, I'd imagine that his minutes get somewhat limited tonight, but he won't play a ton of minutes tomorrow night just because everyone gets to play and there's aren't enough minutes to go around.

But, yeah, I think they make an exception, because the Rising Stars game isn't going to be as physical as a regular game. Zion isn't going to get hacked hard on the head while going up for a dunk and end up coming down awkwardly on one leg.

If they limit his minutes tonight in the middle of fighting for the 8th seed just so he can play in a meaningless game that none of us would even care about if our rooks weren’t participating in I will be LIVID.

I said "somewhat limited." I think that "somewhat" is an important word. In other words, I'd guess that he'll play about the 30 minutes that he has been playing. He's generally been playing more minutes each game, but they aren't going to extend him any tonight.

They aren’t going to limit his minutes.

No one gives a shite about the Rising Stars challenge (except Jaxson). They will ask that his minutes in that be limited

I don’t think that will happen. They aren’t going to limit him because of a glorified pick up game.

Rising stars game is similar to how the practice they put on for the fans is. No defense at all and it’s just a carefree game.
