He has his faults but has played his arse off today

Ball needs to help him more there.
But, yes, he sucks.

I have the same question about Jaxson

Did you see the lane violation that led to a 3? He’s a genius!

If Stan doesn't put Melli in, we don't win

He literally has one job and is to shoot threes..how can someone be so bad at it.

We have to find a way to land Evan Mobley from USC. This games proves how important a stretch big that can cover ground on defense is for Zion. Had Melli hit his shots, Zion would have had a field day.

You know who else would play their arse off? Me. Doesn’t mean I belong in the NBA.

This is by far the funniest comment I’ve seen in a while. It’s also accurate. Melli is awful.

This isn't really the night for this thread. He was a big part of the win. He didn't just play his arse off, he played good defense along with it. Something you know, we kind of suck at. There's a reason he played 15 straight minutes. He played good D and created space for Zion. Who cares if he misses a few shots.
I'm not saying he's great. But he put in good minutes tonight.

Boss move by SVG. Melli opens the floor and knows his defensive rotations.

As SVG said, we needed to open up the paint for Zion, and Melli did that.

Melli was the best of bad options and SVG gets credit for recognizing that.
Still, aside from doing a great job containing off screens, he had a lot of issues around the rim and securing rebounds. But given what was gonna set us off with a win or kill us was Tatum and Brown off screens and PnR, it was the right call.
Just wish his shot would start falling(though I guess at this point I should just assume this is who he is after two seasons).

He started off very slow last year before he found his shot. Then after the break in the season, he went very cold again in the bubble.

I can’t answer that for you.
You should learn how to use the internet for your information.

He got a ton of open looks from the Boston D paying so much attention to BI and zion , and didn't capitalize hardly at all

And the thing is, that going forward, smart teams are just gonna see Melli like you would any non-shooter and dare him to beat you while you cheat off accordingly.
So I’m not sure how long the love affair will last, and unless he can start hitting shots, I expect him to go back to DNP once Adams is back

Melli literally hit his first 6 three point attempts in the league, including a ridiculously clutch 3 in the opener against Toronto.
