He’s a damn C

There is no way on Earth that AD should be setting screens for him to dribble around like a guard. Get your arse in the paint

It’s awful. It’ll end once we get a smart coach

It will end when he leaves this summer in free agency. He's not going to play down low

When his buddy head coach is fired. No coach worth his pay would put up with cousins acting as if he is Steph curry. When he does he turns the ball over more times then he makes a great play.

That’s how they are keeping him happy. So hopefully that will get him to resign once that happens they will tell him to get on the block and make layups

Pre-emptive bump for when it inevitably happens in 5 minutes

STOP. IT. BOOGIE.

Boogie is a coach killer-- low post talent ruined by delusions of being a PG.

Trade Boogie or cut him would piss AD off to the max. After ext season he would let it be known he wants out and won’t stay in NOLA. He will be in Los Angeles as a Laker or the Celtics. Packed great crowds, and money making opportunities with the better publicity. Hang with the stars in LA, maybe screw a Kardashian, which makes even more headlines. He’s going to have many choices.

When you have discipline from the HC and not trying to be boyz. Alvin Gentry is going through the motions he looks uninterested. He's a bum and he aND demos need to go.

Where does he rank in turnovers. Wasn't he leading the league at one point? As a power forward? That's ridiculous!

He's not taking mid range jumpers, he's taking 3's. Nothing wrong with that.
DC Shot Chart

Look at that shot chart. 10% of his shots come from the mid range. a little over a quarter from deep, and the rest from the paint. Notice he's 32% from the mid range. That right there is a stupid shot for him. Either shot the 3 or shoot from the paint, which is what he's pretty much doing.

Him taking 6 3pt shots isn't bad as long as there's another big on the court. The issue is, once he's out there, we get no rebounding or second chance unless the guards attack like vs Boston.

Obviously last night they were tired, effort to get boards were really pitiful.

Cousins is actually having a very good year aside from the turnovers.

His 35.2% 3pt shooting is actually pretty decent for the volume. He's 20th in the league in attempts, T-28th with made.

The other thing when he is shooting 3s is he usually pulls their big man out of the paint also.

The only 3s he takes that don't make me cringe are the wide open catch and shoot 3s and the wide open trailing the break 3s. Everything else seems like flow disrupting hero ball. He's been better about taking good 3s lately.

I agree. He's been pretty good about taking "good" 3's lately. He's really having a very good offensive year, outside of the turnovers. You can tell he's gotten smarter about when to shoot, when to drive, even though he still makes bad decisions every game. It's promising.

And AD has been an offensive rebounding machine the last few games, save last night.
Guys like Cunningham, and Solo when he comes back, need to be crashing the boards hard every game. The best games Cunningham has played this year are the games he's disruptive on the offensive glass.
In an offense where guys are cutting to the basket a lot, we should be able to get offensive rebounds from many different people.

We likely don't have a coach telling his players to completely disregard offensive rebounds and immediately get back on defense when a shot goes up like last year.

But what does that really get us? It’s not like we have anyone slashing to the hoop besides AD.

What’s frustrating is late in the 3rd and into the 4th qrt when Boogie decides to play point and put the ball on the floor, lean into someone, throw the ball up or lose it and cry about a foul instead of getting back on defense.

We have two of the best big men in the leagu and can’t use them. It’s frustrating!

5th highest frequency of shots at the rim in the league (up from 20th last year)
6th highest FG% at the rim in the league (no other top 5 frequency team is in the top 10 of % and up 5% points from 18th last year)
2nd highest eFG% in the league, ahead of Houston and full point ahead of #4

(some of the eFG% just might be luck w/ more 3s going in. i do wonder what the year over year difference (if any) is w/r/t to OPEN/WIDE OPEN 3s from last year to this year w/ point Boogie)

career year in efficiency from Holiday (shooting 66% at the rim on 36% of his FGA)
career year in efficiency from Moore (shooting career highs at the rim and % of FGA at rim)
Davis shooting 75% (!!!) at the rim, where he takes 44% of his shots (which is his highest since his 2nd year)

Cousins does some dumb things that he shouldn't do and is often too reluctant to go down low (likely not just a coaching thing). but playing him up top works

Quite true.

Assuming they stay around there, it also gets Cousins the highest win total of his career and Davis the 2nd highest of his career

So I guess the real answer is lots of sadness
