The difference was that the Grizzlies weren't hitting a shite ton of threes.

Rotations and intensity was good. It was even noticeable from Bledsoe who always looks nonchalant on defense. They didn't look like they overhelped too much tonight. Josh Hart was a monster tonight.

defensive intensity,

Ingram went over the top of every screen tonight

It's almost like Hart's comments today lit a fire under some of these guys

Effort on the defensive end, after the 1st we changed our defense on Ja. Plus Adams was a beast inside.

Hart is the emotional leader of this team. Can't believe I was dumping on him a week ago

I only watched the second half but looked like we actually played some D on the perimeter, we had great ball movement, Zion is a create a player on 2k, and Hernangomez is a great backup for Adam’s.

Having someone not named Zion or Ingram score more than 25 points.

Pelicans hit 19 3s, not their opponents

Out-rebounded them by 15

Shooting 62% from the floor as a team

Yep, Memphis not killing it from 3 helped a lot. Also when Zion pressed the paint from the point they were completely leaving Hart and he was spinning wide open 3s

ETA: oh, and the fact that when Zion goes to the hole, he stays in the air long enough for the 3 guys defending him to jump and come down while he’s still in the air finishing

They should stagger their jumps so one of them will still be in the air to contest. :)

Hart backed his words up with his performance last night. Love that guy. Has always been the guy without the most talent but the biggest chip. His attitude as a bench player willing to play the 1-4 positions is such an important part of building a competitive team.

Yeah, I definitely noticed more defensive intensity from Bledsoe last night. But at +3, he still had the lowest +/- on the team, out of 13 guys who played.

It's not like Bledsoe had a great game.

Memphis isn’t a 3 point shooting team?
