He’s widely regarded as an elite rim protector and he’s a good finisher at the rim

There was a metric in competitive rebounding he was like top 10 in. He just didn’t rack up boards in Utah partially due to his role. Griffin thinks he can dominate in rebounds and get us in transition quick which is what he want to do. Also he’s (Griffin) said he thinks there’s untapped potential in his offensive game. Considering what we gave up for him he is considered low risk and potentially very high reward.

Edit: I don’t want to come off as a dick, but he could be huge for us in a veteran role as well as production.

You right, I don't like him myself, he's lazy defensively( I watched him play terrible tonite so for in not guarding a 6'1 guard on one play who scored easily and not getting over to help Reddick on another play who was overmatched with Siakim), but he's not really a center. He didn't play center when he was with Utah of course, but he is most def a PF playing out of position, him and the other guy Melli or whatever his name is, they are both PF's playing out of position. But Okafor is so slow off his feet defensively that they play these guys over him even though they aren't true centers. They should bring in a true center that can run the floor, block shots and rebound.
