If the rumors are true it seems like NYK have become the frontrunner in the AD sweepstakes. Don't know how we could turn down the #1 pick (Zion), Knox, DSJ/Robinson, and a future 1st. If they get #2 (Morant) I'd take the same package plus Ntilikina and an extra 1st. What say Pels talk?

Has to be #1 pick in Zion and has to include Robinson, Knox, Dennis Smith jr, and their next year pick and a Dallas pick. Also If they get pick 2 or 3 pick instead explore trade for jrue instead giving them a 2 way star on a reasonable contract. If they have ambitions of 2 supermax guys, a guy like jrue would be an easier and more sensible addition to a possible tandem of kyrie, Durant, or jimmy butler. And say they offer in a trade the 2 or 3 pick, Dennis Smith, Lance Thomas’s inflated contract with Ntilikina and any other salary they want to dump on us for jrue I’d really consider that. Getting back a young athletic guard with upside in Dennis Smith, ntkilina with possible Marcus smart type upside, we absorb a bad contract in lance Thomas and then take on one more guy of their choice for salary matching purposes and either get ja or barret. Then you have young core of guards with upside still and then you still got AD to get more assets for and the pelicans own pick

Stop trying to trade Jrue.

I love jrue. It’s just he’s at his peak value right now and depending what brought In around him it might be smart to at least explore. We will need some vets on what will be a really young roster if what you bring In For Davis paired with jrue is only enough to make you a fringe playoff team or first round bounce then you may as well guage if his worth

Even as a Pels fan, that is too much to ask for a future hall of famer that has 1 year left on his contract. If we could just haul in Knox, the pick, and Dennis Smith Jr id be happy. The Knicks will NOT sell their future for hoping that AD signs a long term deal. And they would be arse next year if they gave us all that for AD. Im just trying to be realistic.

Whatever we can do to get Knox and Zion works for me considering we dont have as much leverage as people think.

And to whoever said we should shop Jrue.... NO! He is in his prime and shows that he loves Nola and I want to keep him. Jrue is one of the Dell Demps moves that Im proud of and I dont want to throw him out for any reason.

Lol I said jrue. And I love him but I just think it’s be worth exploring. But the biggest negative with that is trading a player who is ok with being here in a small market. Wouldn’t be the best look for us. Almost like the demar derozan situation but I’m just saying do you due diligence. And only if the price is right, and only if you look at whatever we get to pair with jrue and if you look at the roster think that is not enough to truly contend with then see what he’s worth

That's not too much to ask for at all considering Knox was complete arse this year, and DSJ has been up and down. Robinson is their only true plus asset besides the picks. And besides, Knicks wanna clear as much cap space as possible so they can go after Durant AND Kyrie after getting AD. So they would most likely give us all the players we want because they need the space anyway.

Exactly, to fill out their roster with these super max guys they Have to pretty much wipe their books of everyone. That’s why I’d expect that Atleast

I misunderstood your post.

But that would be one of the biggest trades of all time. There is too much going on there for that to happen imo. Idk we’ll see. The lottery is 4 days away. I cant wait.

The pick (1 or 2)
Knox
Thomas (waive him and only costs Pels 1 mil)
Ntilikina
Both Dallas picks and 2021 Knicks pick

Try tankathon.

Hit the button.

See how ATL, az, pels all win #1 or 2?

That's real.

Save your powder til the lottery.

I see the pels with morant at 2.
See it, feel it.

I’d want a top 2 pick and Robinson. Everything else is negotiable.

If it's #1, Zion, Robinson, Knox, and 1-2 future picks is enough

If it's #2 or 3, I need it all

There’s a thread on a Knicks board I went to recently that talks about how they can get AD without giving up their pick or Robinson.

Fans are fun.

There have been hundreds of psychological studies that show over and over again that human beings overvalue their own items and undervalue others. The best mental exercise is to flip it. Truly imagine Anthony Davis is on your team if you are a Knicks fan. You have gone to games where he has put up 35 and 15, he is now playing with Kyrie and/or KD and your team has the best top end talent and you have the chance to flip him for a 19 year old (ja or Zion), a couple 20 year olds in Knox and Robinson, and some future picks that could or could not be good. Would you?

Of course, in that reality, they would think thats insane. They would cite the Thunder trade of Harden and how stupid that looks in retrospect.

Humans are flawed, but there are ways to manipulate your hard wiring so you can think more objectively

Absolute best Celtics package vs Absolute best Knicks package if they land 2 or 3 is a good debate

Tatum vs. #2 or 3 -- I take #2 for sure over Tatum. And #3 by a slight, slight margin

Brown vs. Kevin Knox - Brown by a good margin

Grizz pick vs Mitchell Robinson - this is close. I would guess Memphis pick has more league value, so that by a small margin

Kings pick vs DSJ - DSJ probably has a better career than 90% of the guys taken 14-30 in the 2019 draft. Of course, you could hit, but probability says DSJ

Clippers and Celtics picks vs. Future Mavs picks - Mavs pick win this one, as the first one is totally unprotected

Celtics also have Smart, Knicks can take on Hill and have some other intriguing pieces like Dotson, Trier, etc. Call that all a wash

It's close man. This is the second best (non- Pels win lottery) scenario, outside of Knicks getting #1 and giving us Zion. If Knicks get 2 or 3, then they and the Celtics get into a bidding war and have to empty their chests. I would personally go Knicks, but a Celtics package with EVERYTHING is fine by me if a couple pieces can be flipped

Maybe he was included in the alternative universe you came from, but in this one, he is on the Knicks

Freaking multiverse, dude
