Jackson's been offered other jobs, he's just turned them down wanting to keep his espn gig instead. Money is good I guess, but I think Jackson wants a certain HC job only that he would comeback into coaching for like a NY. Dude put together a great squad in Golden St, he just couldn't get along with J West and the front office people.

When he coached Golden State he would witness on the corners of Oakland and San Francisco. That's the reason why Golden State got rid of him. Because of his beliefs.

Did he witness to the stripper he cheated with?

There’s a ton of “pastors” that are absolute scum.

He cheated on his wife constantly, first of all and got caught multiple times. With a stripper.

His assistants HATED his guts. So much so that one of them with a name that might sound familiar got caught taping all of the meetings with him and team meetings.

He created a ridiculously toxic culture. That’s why he was fired. Some of the shite was straight out of Survivor.

On top of that he was a bad coach.

His time in GS is well documented. You can read all of the shitty things he did.

He hasn’t gotten a job again. And never will.

FYI. Lebron James at one time pushed for the Cavaliers to hire MJ. Here’s what Woj said about that:

quote:

“Cleveland refused to hire Jackson. General manager David Griffin is too well-connected in the NBA, too knowledgeable of the truths inside Jackson’s Warriors regime to let that happen.”

You do realize that one of the biggest knocks on Mark Jackson was his lack of creativity with his offensive philosophy

You actually think that precludes him from being an awful person? You're even dumber than your thread suggests.

Oh, well why didn’t you say so? I think Gayle should just give him the team.

And? Isaiah Thomas had a HOF career and I could have done a befter job as GM. Don’t want mark Jaclson no where near this franchise

You wanting Jackson as a coach tells me all I need to know about your so called basketball acumen. Gentry should have never been hired and should have been fired before the Boogie trade.

Literally the greatest basketball player of all time has been a bum as a GM and an owner.

We aren’t even scratching the surface as to what a piece of garbage Jackson is.

He banned (or attempted to) Jerry West and Jim Barnett from practices because he resented their power in the org. JERRY WEST.

He told players that Festus Ezeli was cheering for them to lose while he was injured so he’d look better when he returned. The team confronted Ezeli and the guy actually WEPT, denying this and then confronted Jackson.

It’s well documented that while a player, he was the driving force behind John Stockton abruptly retiring. He effectively staged a coup against him within the team.

Didn’t want Mike Malone as an assistant because he thought Malone would take his job. He eventually forced Malone out.

Refused to allow assistant coaches to do interviews because they may take his job.

Tried to pit the players versus the front office. Told them on several occasions it was Us v Them, with the Them being management.

He told the team that Harrison Barnes was POSSESSED BY A DEMON, and that was why he couldn’t shoot.

He and his coaching staff were woefully underprepared at times. He once famously said he didn’t need to work extra hours to prepare for a playoff series versus the Clippers. Meanwhile Doc Rivers was working his arse off.

He also famously said “rim protectors are obsolete” lol.

Ask Steph, Klay, and Draymond how they feel about Mark Jackson. I get that he didn’t get along with the front office but he gave them all of the confidence to become the players that they are today.

And after our third title, Zion and BI will likely say the same thing about that coach early in their careers who didn't win a ring with them, but helped mold them into the all-NBA players that they ultimately became -- Alvin Gentry.

In all seriousness, you just made the best argument for keeping Gentry around another year. I believe that Gentry is a good coach for player development. We should keep him until we're ready to make a championship run, and there's no way that we're going to compete for a title next season.

Coaching to win a title and coaching to develop players are not the same thing. They are different skillsets.

To clarify, if the guy that Griffin really believes is our championship coach -- if that guy is available this offseason, then Griffin should get him. Otherwise, it 100% makes sense for us to keep Gentry for another season.

Yeah, I know that no one wants to hear that right now.
