He’s not “shooting up” he’s pretty much always been a top 10 pick.

I’m a fan of his but he won’t be in our range unless we trade up so we haven’t spent a good deal of time talking about him.

How would you compare him to LaMelo ball?

Lol. 1 Lonzo isn’t good enough for you? So you want a lesser version?

There’s a lot to like about Haliburton, but I’m concerned about his athleticism. Specifically, how it affects his ability to get to the line and find passing in the half court. In general he just doesn’t get to the line enough. I’m sure that it will get better whenever he adds some weight, but his .185 FTr, along with his 22.2 TOV% in conference play, is worrisome.

I feel like Haliburton is a safe pick. A guy with a solid floor but a low ceiling. Whoever takes him should recognize that and accept it.

I think the two best PG in the draft are Kira Lewis and Tyrese Maxey.

We keep getting these tall combo type guards. I want some speed and explosive ability. Ball has a little bit of that. But I want a burner. I had high hopes for Jackson, but I guess that ship has probably sailed..

He's basically DeAngelo Russell in that regard. Also in physical stature.

I don't think Tyrese is a PG, but I do agree he and Kira are my two favorite prospects at #13.

I agree, I see him having the ability to be a Donovan Mitchell. I think he has a very high ceiling. Not really a true PG, but a scoring lead guard.
I like his size at 6’3”, 6’8” wingspan, 200lbs. I like his athleticism, and I like his basketball attitude.

Saw him in HS a few times (coached against him in the summer before his senior year). Did not see this coming from him... efficiency was off the charts.

Desmond Bane would also be a nice player at 13

Here's new video of Maxey talking about his workout schedule. He's really grinding and working on his shot.

It's funny, as weak as this draft is supposed to be I like a lot of prospects that are likely to be available at 13.

Haliburton is probably my favorite player in this draft. We're just not in a position to draft him.

Jonathan Wasserman on BR has him going 6th in his latest mock with Orlando trading 15, Bamba and Aminu to trade up and get him.

We could make a really similar offer if we wanted.

Maxey looks amazing in that clip. He added arc to his deep ball which is most of the issue with his shot. Didn’t think it was happen so quick and seamlessly. He looked very smooth and his frame is very is great for his size. His upside might be a lot higher than he’s been given credit for.
