If he reaches his potential this off-season will be a great one. Durant listed Graham as one of the up and comers that he likes. I think we did better than people here are saying. We shed two horrible contracts, got better coaching, brought in more shooters, and drafted the same guy at 17 that some were wanting at 10.

We definitely got better fitting players than what we had last year.
Still think we need to add one more starting caliber guard/wing and a stretch big to call this off-season a success.

I don’t think anyone is saying that our roster got worse, just that it probably needed to improve a lot more

Everything we did before free agency was good. The problem is the floor for this free agency should’ve been matching offers for Lonzo and Hart, Bring a stretch big type contributor like Bobby Portis in on MLE. Bring in vet leader via the BAE. Maybe Hart hates it here and Portis was never an option, but even in that circumstance we should’ve made the Bulls wait the full 3 days on Lonzo. We bent over backwards much too quickly for Zo, Klutch and the Bulls.
The way things ended up playing out, the proper decision would’ve been to match him after we ended up missing out on Cp3, Lowry, Hardaway, Powell. Duncan Robinson, Dinwiddie, Olynk, Gary Trent Jr, Forbes, Nunn, Monk, etc.
Hate to say it, but running it back and trying the trade market out again in February is infinitely better than doing what we did so far barring a miracle or 2 occurring in the next 36 hours.

Agreed. FA class sucks

Idk. It’s hard to know what Griff is going for or who teams are wanting to trade. But I’m sure there are at least a few nice deals out there

Pelicans got a lot better, fans are disappointed because they are interested in big names and not the construction of the team

Sometimes I'm glad I haven't been following the Pelicans closely very long. It allows me to follow this stuff without the weight of all the bad times from the past that some of you guys are carrying around.
Heck, even something very small like James Johnson looking like he may well get a shot at a ship made me happy (though I hate to see him go). I enjoyed the way that guy played the short time he was here and the limited amount of minutes he got.

A couple of things that has me excited about the upcoming season are, Jonas and Graham or huge upgrades over Adams and Bledsoe, Trey Murphy shooting ability and size, Tomas Satoransky is a much better player than he showed in Chicago. I don't think Tomas got much of an oppertunity playing behind Zack Lavine.
Griffin seems to be bringing in players with alot of grit and tenacity, which should help our defense.

I hated fat Stan as much as anyone, but we haven’t seen Willie coach yet. Would be tough to be worse than Stan last year, but Willie still needs to prove himself. Everything Griff has done this off-season depends on how well Willie can coach next year.

Y’all downvoting, but please explain to me why not making the Bulls wait the full 72 hours (or hell, even freaking 12 hours) on Lonzo would’ve been a bad move for us?
We would’ve been able to have a better understanding of who and who didn’t want to sign with us.
Additionally, Chicago would have also seen that we essentially struck out in free agency, making it more likely that we would match, and that they would have to include better compensation in the sign and trade for us not to match.
Griff had more leverage than he utilized in this situation. We could have done the above and still grabbed Graham as well. There was no harm in tying up the Bulls for 72 hours and increasing our leverage as our free agency targets and their’s dried up.
Griff got punked and played like a scrub by the Bulls and Klutch here.

There’s no doubt in my mind that we we’ve been listening to Zo S&T offers for the past month. There’s a reason why it happened in “the first minute of free agency”. It’s because we’d heard all of the other offers
