I think you could play Gordon, Niko, and AD together since Gordon can guard the 3 and Niko is a low usage spacer offensively, but I would probably look to move Niko since we can't pay him if we invest in Gordon.

Gordon could be a great fit

Because the GM didn't draft him and Bamba/Isaac is their frontcourt of the future while Vuc has been playing great. I do not think they are fully bought into Gordon and he is having some growing pains this year with the new system.

I would love to get Gordon, but really cannot see them parting with him (at least for a reasonable price). His contract is very nice as well.

I would give up 2 1sts for someone on Gordon's level if they took back Hill..

Otherwise, Moore (if the fricker starts playing and gets his value up), Wes, Diallo and a 1st

started this is another thread, but if you are willing to give up the 1st for Barnes, would you call Orlando first and see what picks it would take for the same package for Aaron Gordon first?

my point in starting this thread was to make sure TD and dell knows that Barnes, while smooth and effective most of the game will not be able to maintain in the intensity of playoff ball. His fall was utterly on him. He got weak legs. He had the ball, five seconds and did not even get off a shot.

Aaron Gordon <== you bet.

So, trade for Aaron Gordon and roll out a four power forward lineup?

Sequence of trades I like:

Hill and a top 8 protected first for Lin and Prince

Moore and Wes for Ariza and Jeff Green (done when Ariza can be aggregated or in a separate deal involving an exception)

Improve a ton this year and books are super clean for next year.

If we do multiple moves and Milwaukee was serious about interest in Randle I'd like:

Mil: Randle
NOP: Brogdon, Illy or Snell

Then I would be comfortable going to Detroit and seeing what they want for Blake pick wise (Moore, Hill, Wes works salary wise, could sub Niko for Moore or Wes), if it's too high then go for another small move to get a true Center in here without giving up our pick (Moore and Wes for R Lopez)

Those two moves with Chicago and Mil would set us up pretty nice for this season and next IMO.. Plus we would still have an expiring Hill that we could attach to our pick around draft time if/when someone becomes available

Payton/Brogdon/Frazier
Jrue/Frank/Clark
Illy or Snell/Miller/Hill/Williams
AD/Niko/Diallo
Lopez/Okafor

That's 10 deep that you can play during playoff time if needed, and we can finally always have a ball handler on the court and not have to rely on Jrue anymore (unless Gentry just keeps going full retard)

Try to move Randle and Niko if you can get a better fit. You always preach talent. A trio of Jrue-Gordon-AD would be similar to the Griffin trade you proposed, but you have a lot more breathing room and a better time horizon. Gordon's declining contract would fit perfectly with AD's supermax. Gordon's ball handling and playmaking would be welcome. Unlike Niko and Randle, he can legitimately guard 3's and not just occasionally switch on them.

My opinion of Gordon just isn't as high as others, I guess. I see him as a more exciting version of Randle, with similar liabilities. I think he is a 4th banana on a really, really good team

Gordon seems to play pretty solid defense. Is his issue team defense as well?

wonderful. Can you throw in hill when you get Lopez?

I really like Lopez. Solid.

Brogdon is asking a lot.

I'm going to pop a sierra pale ale when hill is dealt.
