We’ve had a bunch of rumors already. Figured I’d do a catch em all thread.

Hollinger recently discussed Weaver being a “name to watch”.

Just now our former comrade Crewz tweeted this:

quote:

According to someone I trust, Udoka has interviews with both the Pelicans and Celtics next week

Grain of salt. We know Udoka was a candidate last time, though.

Feel free to quote any rumors here and discuss.

I don't know the NBA well enough to make an educated guess, but hopefully it will be somebody that can get the guys pulling hard in the same direction.

It’ll 100% be a former black player from the 90’s- 00s Era

Udoka
Billups
Lee
Vanterpool
Stackhouse

I'd be fine with a former player approach.

Doesn't matter if griffin doesn't fix this roster.

Need a huerter or seth curry.

Has Darvin Ham been mentioned as a possible candidate? I've only seen Lee's name, when it comes to the Bucks asst coaches.

I wonder how long will this coaching search take if it’s a “targeted list”? Hopefully, they already have a good feel for who’s going to be the next coach.

@MarcJSpears says on The Jump that he’s hearing strong rumblings about Bucks assistant Charles Lee. Mentions he really impressed the Pelicans in interviews last season. If he had to put money on it, Lee will become the next head coach of the Pelicans.

In search for a replacement, Pelicans are expected to circle back among some candidates from a year ago, including assistants Jacque Vaughn and Ime Udoka (Brooklyn), Charles Lee (Milwaukee) and Jason Kidd (Lakers), sources tell ESPN.

Sources: Pelicans assistant Fred Vinson will get serious consideration for franchise's head coaching job. Since 2010, Vinson's worked under Monty Williams, Alvin Gentry and Stan Van Gundy, building a strong body of work within organization.

I think in the end it comes down to Chauncey Billups or Charles Lee. I’d love if they also interviewed Darvin Ham and Vanterpool. My gut tells me Charles Lee will be the guy simply because they were very intrigued by him before that hired SVG.

You know who impressed them more? a fat arse that was an extremely stupid hire.
Griffin is a lying idiot, and him being impressed by someone, doesn't impress me.
Griff is the next problem that the Pels need to fix.

You have to think that is Chauncey’s job if he wants it.

I’d say we are 3rd-Ish among openings. Blazers is a better job in the short term.

And they are ahead of us in the process.

We went through this process 8 months ago. We should not be behind in the process.
