and acquire a protected 1st in 2020 from PHX/CHI. Big fan of that myself since Garland isn’t the guy for Nola IMO.

I'd rather it in 2021 if they do

I mean you obviously do that if it’s on the table.

NBA source: Pelicans could trade #4 pick in 2019

@nba

draft for #6 pick (Suns) or #7 pick (Bulls) and acquire a 2020 protected 1st round selection from Phoenix or Chicago. Suns/Bulls both strong interest in Darius Garland. Deal similar to Dallas/ATL 2018 Doncic draft trade

That’s a no brained, especially for Chicago. They ain’t winning shite anytime soon.

We could still get a decent player at 7

culver/white (whichever one CLE doesn't draft) would be available

if we really like white, though, then we have to stay at 6

ProbAbly at 6.

Not at 7 which makes me think Phoenix might be the move. If we pass on Hunter then Cleveland will take him and then we’ll take Culver

6/7 isn’t bad, but moving down to 8 is to far in my opinion. At 6/7 you could still potentially get Garland, Culver, Hunter, or White.

But which future first will be better for the pelicans? Phoenix or Chicago?

Phoenix has issues but Chicago looks like it's in a full rebuild

That’s my thoughts as well. Depending on protection and what we think the teams will do this year, trading with Chicago could become more valuable than Phoenix. Certainly interesting to say the least.

Both are inept so it doesn't really matter

Both will be protected so I guess I'll go CHI

I’d so it for an unprotected pick. With the new lottery system, you have less chance of getting it to convey.

I’d much rather offer Ball, the #4 and Hill to Memphis for the #2. Not that they’d take it, but would be awesome.

PG- Ball (?)/Jackson
SG- Holliday/Hart/Moore
SF- Ingram/Hill/Williams
PF- Williamson
C- Okafor

looking at it, we need a starting C, back up PF, and a better back up PG...

i'd draft Tacko Fall in the 2nd for our C...

yeah, out of him and Garland, White would fit better in our system along with Zion...

as much as I like Hunter and Culver, both play positions that we now find ourselves deep at... we need PG and PF depth, and a starting C... again, i like Fall in the 2nd for C...

I'm willing to move down anywhere between 5 to 8, depending on the assets it nets us.

If none of those particular players just leap out to us as being a great plan, then we may as well leverage Cleveland, Chicago, Phoenix, and Atlanta against each other to get something we want.
