Jax's shooting form is great. You just have to watch him shoot free throws to see this.
No it’s not.
If it was great he wouldn’t be shooting 29% on jumpers for his career.
And the link is the full video of the shot you screen capped. Which provides the visual of the stuff I am saying, not simply a capture as he is releasing.
Listen, I’m as excited as the next person about the potential, but in order for Jaxson to realize it it will require additional work. If your mechanics aren’t in place you can take as many reps as you want and not become an efficient shooter. Jaxson form isn’t Lonzo or Zion level busted, but it needs further tweaking to create the sort of consistency he will need to be a jump shooter defenders will respect and we want to be taking shots regularly.

Look at the video I posted. He pulls the ball up in a diagonal motion
Ah okay I thought you meant the actual angle of the ball flight. I agree his shot looks kind of jank but some jank shots go in

His shot is a bit quirky, but his elbow and shooting shoulder are line with the basket. The video where he is not squared up has him catching the pass from his left to go up, so it exaggerates what Bronc is complaining about, which is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. He is also a bit rushed getting it up.
If you look beyond that flaw, you'll see a lot of things to like about his shot. As I mentioned, he lines up his shooting arm very well. He also makes great use of his wrist. Frankly, the majority of his shot comes from his wrist, which is much easier to work with than a guy who pushes the ball. Hayes has no problem getting the ball to the rim with a slight rise and a flick of the wrist. As such, he should be able to clean up his footwork and become a decent threat from deep.
