Jrue is a guy we all love and I don’t want to get rid of him just bc. But I think if we could get a top 5 pick, and a young asset while taking back some bad salary but not as much as he’s currently due would be something to really think about. He’s Turning 29 very soon and is almost at that point in a Pgs career where a decline is not so far away. A top pick, taking on salary and acquiring a young asset would be wise to consider. Then use whatever money this year In FA to bring in 2-3 vets to help out the guys brought in from jrue and AD trades

Say the suns have the third pick and we trade jrue for RJ Barret Josh Jackson and salary fillers. Or Chicago trades the 4th pick and we take Garland and get Dunn and take on felicios contract. Or Orlando offers Bamba, Mozgov and their first rounder this year and a 2021 first. But I like the idea of the suns trading us RJ or Ja with Jackson and then trade with Celtics for Ad and then use our pick plus whatever picks from Boston You could have a young core of...

Ja/ Frank
Marcus Smart/ Jalen Brown
Tatum/ Jackson
Brandon Clarke
Okafor

And then bring in some vets to help the young guys grow into their roles. Yea we wouldn’t be a playoff team for a couple years but we’d have future picks, financial flexibility and a bunch of young promising players

The trading of Jrue is great on paper. On NBA 2K

This franchise, in this market, will not entertain both guys in the same summer. They just won't

Crewz, Will someone become a clear favorite after the draft lottery Tuesday or do you think its still a few weeks away after gathering more player evaluations . Ive heard Pelicans are really high on Robinson from New York.

If AD goes why not full on rebuild. Clear the books.

Not going to dismiss it out of hand but I have yet to see a proposed Jrue trade which brings back what I feel is appropriate value.

We have no need to move on from him, unlike the pressures we are seeing with Davis, so I would want a “Godfather” offer for him.

Phoenix coughs up the number 2 pick and a significant amount of other pieces? I will listen.

Teams try to offer us shite like Dieng, Wiggins, and Wall for him? frick no.

Trading Jrue makes sense any route we go.

Keep AD: Jrue should be the main piece to get a closer. I love Jrue, but for this team to take a next step, it needs an all-star level player who plays with the ball in his hands and pairs with AD on pick & rolls at such a level that it's impossible to guard.

Move AD: We won't be contending in the immediate future so get all the young/future assets you can get. It's also best for Jrue. He deserves to play in big games.

We still need vets and a face of the team no matter how we cut it.

If we don’t get fair value for Jrue, I see no reason to just trade him off.

I've said this before but Jrue won't go anywhere because I don't think any team would be able to offer what we value him at, nor do I think any proposed trade would give us a net+

Jrue is not the leader type. Hell the coaches can't even evaluate him correctly at what position he plays.

All I'm saying is if RJ Barrett or Morant comes a calling that's the easy trade

He sure seemed to be a great leader when he stepped up into that role the 2nd half of the season...

He's only played 6% of his minutes combined at PG in the last 2 years and has had the 2 best years of his career

The vast majority has been at the 2(with some 3) so id say that's a false statememt that they're clueless

Do we need to go over Jrue and the hustle squads run before he was shut down? If say that speaks for itself

If we don't get fair value, there's no point in trading in him. But if we do get fair value, I think trade makes sense.

And then I get from business end why we need a face of the team. But if Gayle is serious about building correctly, we can go without a face for a year or two.
