Judging by tonight:

25ish mins a game and no 4th quarter

Not sure what they'll do about B2B but I assume none

I can live with it

If he's forced upon us....I'll take that all day.

Fine and dandy, now we need Minnesota to go on a run.

I'd rather bring him off the bench and treat him like a 2nd teamer.

Gentry is pretty much giving the middle finger to the league and saying “I’m gonna play the guys I need to evaluate in crunch time and my franchise player (Jrue)...suck my dick Silver.”

That's fine

AD can pout and be a bitch too

I'm way past caring regarding his presence on this team or not.

They’ll beat Memphis and probably Orlando. I even give them decent odds against OKC because that always seems like a better matchup for the Pels than a lot of other teams. Win those 3 and you’re just 3 games under .500 with 23 games to go. Tank derailed.

It’s going to force him to play his arse off to keep his numbers up too

The more I think about it, I am coming to terms with the league's position on playing AD.

Fans pay hard-earned money to go watch the games, and in a way, sitting a healthy AD is failing to give fans (especially opposing teams' fans) the product they/we agreed to pay for.

I'm not happy that we have to risk him being injured, but from the standpoint of protecting the integrity of the game, when you contrast this with the NFL's total and complete reckless disregard for anything resembling integrity of play, I'll take the NBA every time.

Sucks that it's our franchise that is affected, but at least the league isn't content screwing 72,000 fans with predetermined outcomes and refs actively deciding the outcome of games per orders from the commissioner.

I'm not happy about it, but I do get it.

It’s a master plan for AD to get traded so the Pels can acquire assets for AD to come back as a FA In 2020....

It would be hilarious if we slipped into playoffs.

Nobody would know what to do next.

While funny I would rather have the lottery ticket.

Which again begs the question...why trade Niko if you’re not going to actually tank? I guess we’ll see how the next week goes. Also, the more we win the more AD will play.

I’m puzzled over the Niko deal. What was the point?

We got something for a guy that's going to be a UFA after the rest of this meaningless season.

Cash in rather than let him walk as a FA, and also do him a solid by sending him to a contender.

We pretty much accepted we were stuck with Randle, so we got what we could. And apparently there actually were talks of Niko to Philly for Fultz before they got Tobias Harris.

All those points are true. I also think they are hedging bets in the belief that they can sign him in offseason if we don’t go full rebuild. Randle, Payton, Diallo, Clark, Miller, Smith, Frazier will all be off books. Don’t see any of them returning (Smith maybe on vet min for depth)

Because Niko was going to walk at the end of the season so why not get value for him now? It's obvious to everyone the Pelicans are going to be forced to rebuild so the team might as well prepare for it.
