if you can get Kevin F’n Durant for giving up one of Zion, BI, or CJ you make the trade 100/100 times. Really don’t understand how this board doesn’t realize he’s one of the best to ever play and still has good years left

He’s 34, makes 40 mill+, and has significantly worse injuries than anyone on our team. Not to mention his horrendous attitude.

The only way I go for Durant is if we give up no one of note beyond say Jonas (Graham, Hayes, Temple, Lewis, etc), and just add a bunch of picks.

I am so on board with this. This is about the only trade that would make me happy with it.

Just can’t see it happening.

This. He’s not in his prime while BI is entering his prime ans Zion had one of the best offensive performance in the HISTORY of NBA. I rather run it back. We would’ve won the Suns series if Zion played.

It won’t and isn’t going to.

But if it includes any of:
Zion

BI
CJ
Herb

Then I riot.

Meh. His fatass is done in the NBA after this next contract.

Sell out. Get an nba championship or 2 over the next 3 seasons. Take that lakers pick 3 years from now (lebron retired, AD gone) when they suck again and get you a lotto stud to go with a seasoned BI, Jones, Alvarado, etc

Just ridiculous. He doesn't have a "horrendous attitude.". And his injury history is worse than Zion's?

You are better than this.

He missed parts of 2 seasons and had 3 surgeries for the same injury Zion just had.

This KD situation is really bringing out people’s true colors again.

Shitting on Zion for absolutely no reason and most of it isn’t even constructive criticism. It’s primitive bullshite based off media rumors at best.

I really hope you guys leading the charge are 15 years old. Because if y’all are 50 year old men railing against a 21 year old that’s been injured and likely depressed due to not being able to play the game he loves, that’s just sad as shite.

I find it pretty hard to do that because to get Brooklyn what they want, an instant playoff team, I'm not sure the Pels have enough picks to make that happen.

The framework would need to be something along these lines:

JV + Trey + Temple to Brooklyn
Dyson + Jaxson + Graham + lots of picks to Utah

Donovan Mitchell to Brooklyn
KD to Pels

So the Nets end up with Mitchell + JV + Trey but probably not many picks because you need to send all of those and Dyson to Utah for Mitchell.

I feel like this would work if we had enough picks to give some to Brooklyn too, but I'm not sure we can send enough out.

Yes. He actually had the same injury than Zion…but had to have 3 surgeries to correct it.

He’s also torn his Achilles among other things.

I am better. Thanks.

That is a lot to give up for a 34 year old player. Maybe 5-6 years ago but would be a one shot win now move. Then again, it would match the give it all away to win now and worry about the future later culture of the Saints.

We probably would’ve had enough picks if Griffin didn’t have to use several to ladder out of 3-4 mistakes and if he would’ve timed the Lonzo trade better.

Yeah this narrative that KD has this horrible toxic attitude is a bit overblown. Also I love BI but we’d be lucky if even in his prime he’s doing what KDs done the last two years in his so called downward trajectory.

Which is why it isn’t going to happen.

The culture thing is so fricking stupid

You don’t add KD because if you trade Zion or BI for him, you window immediately shuts to 2-3 years, or the length of time KD is still playing at this level. A core of KD-CJ-Zion is frankly, old by nba standards

Reason 2, if you pair KD & Zion, neither have proven to stay healthy enough. That’s both combustive & wishful thinking.

Can you center something around CJ + Herb & picks? Maybe if that is the absolute best offer Brooklyn gets, sure, you take that every day of the week.

KD’s contract & “attitude” are complete non issues. Borderline top 10 player all time with championship pedigree who is still playing great ball is someone you at least gauge interest on.

Durant is 34 years old and played 90 games in three years. And he was replaced by Andrew Wiggins without the Warriors missing a beat.

At 19 and playing for SVG, Zion was treating the league like they were middle schoolers. Unless Zion demanded a trade, this discussion is lunacy.

Bruh

The Warriors were in the play in last year, right?

Klay returned in January of this year. And as soon as Wiggins played with a healthy Curry, Green, and Thompson, they were nearly unbeatable
