to land Adams for Hill, Miller, #1, and two #2's. Adams is a fan favorite, and a great teammate. It's a great trade!

Thank God you're here gerard

The original was a little too good to be true

When that’s the case there’s usually something more to it, as we learned this morning.

I still give it a 7.5

I think especially when you factor in the cap space it frees up in '21, it's a great deal. If Adams plays well and is a good fit, what do yall think we should resign him for? $17-18/year?

too much tied up at the 5

It's basically 12 mil or you let him walk

If they can resign Adams after this season to a more realistic contract I'll love this trade... No way Adams gets another 4 year 100 million deal.

The hope is that somehow Hayes can develop into your starting C after this season, but I don't see it happening yet

Technically, we still need to send 2.2 mil in salary to complete this trade. Sign and trade of one of the unrestricted guys is likely

Unless he’s scoring 18 a game and getting more blocks.. his contract should not be more than 13 mil a year

I love this move and the only real asset we gave up was the 2023 pick and its lottery protected. We needed a dog in that locker room and they don’t come nastier than Adams.

What's the deal on the picks we received? Where do they fall?

Yeah basically the same thing they were hoping with Favors, but they probably believe in Adams more.

I think considering teams knew Pels where desperate for a big man it was a great deal. I think Adams adds toughness and heart which every team needs

The Pels were so desperate Griffin bailout OKC who had two centers with contracts totalling over $55M.
Pels could have signed RoLo. Lopez is pretty much Adams.

You really think the original was better?

We were able to offload an old player that was at a jam packed position and the bad contract of Darius Miller for a very good starting center which was a position of EXTREME need.

We only had to give up 2 2nds far in the future, players we would rarely or never use and wouldn't be in our long term plans, and a lottery protected first.

The only thing we lost of actual value to us was the lottery protected first, and it wasn't that valuable. It was definitely worth using to get a desperately needed, very good starting center.

Hell it even helps with the cap since it clears a ton of room for next year with a better free agent class. No matter what we did this year we weren't going to have cap space.

AND we got to keep Bledsoe.

So how the frick is this version worse?
