Will be curious to see if SVG can make Zion and Adams work. Griff was so infatuated with Adams that I am not sure if he considered how/of he would work with Zion. Hopefully by midway through the season it will not be an issue.

It's a shame Zion isn't tall enough to play center cause he already has the playstyle to play this position.
If Zion would do 7'0, it would really be nice.

Griff need to find a pivot that can shoot well because of this...

Zion and Adams can work well if Zion more often shoots mid-range and 3...

Zion is essentially automatically playing 1 on 2 on most touches even before the 3rd guy comes over with Adams' guy just completely ignoring Adams to double Zion.

I've said before, Adams is great and does all the little things and probably has our best net rating on the team, but I do feel like one of, if not, our top priority should be getting guys around Zion that unlock his max potential. And 3 seasons of Adams does concern me in trying to figure out how we do that with so many of his minutes are tied to being on the court with Steven Adams.

Yeah. I love Adams. I really do, but I wonder if trading for Myles Turner would have been the better long-term play. You would still get the ability to guard the rim at a high level but you would really suffer on the rebounding front.

We just needs the three other guys to be legitimate threats from the 3 point line.

have we ever seen Zion grab a rebound and take off down the court to start a fastbreak and make a nice pass for an assist? I can't recall that in the slightest, and we saw 3 or 4 of those in that highlight.

I assume he's talking about seeing him do it at Duke, like in that highlight lol

All those defensive plays and Zion leading the break.

Where is that Zion? Seriously, where'd all that go?

To me his body looks substantially different, obviously smaller.

I just really don't understand with how much money we're investing in him long term, how has he been with the org around 1.5 years, and we don't have him in the absolute best possible shape.

And the defensive side, that also just makes no sense. He really does give a lack of effort in the NBA, it's very apparent. Basically, completely opposite of him in college. I expect missed assignments and those types of things, but he's basically a turnstile on defense, he can't guard anyone.

Zion is forcing veteran NBA teams to completely collapse on him because he is so dominant. Zion hasn’t even been playing for a full 82 games yet and it is obvious how much of a weapon he is.

The team is shooting 32 3 point shots a game and making 10. That is straight trash. Definitely considering we know teams are leaving them wide open. We would probably have 2-3 more wins with just making wide open shots.

The Pels need to continue to improve their defense, but they would be difficult to stop if we had shooters that could make wide open 3s like everyone else in the league.

TBH, Zion is still at least 15-20 pounds heavier than where he needs to be to be the specimen he was at Duke. But, as other people have pointed out, I think he is trying to be safe and avoid dunking in crowds. Longevity over flash. When you do go up for a contested dunk, it’s just much tougher to land without hurting yourself. 2 points is 2 points no matter if you slam it or lay it in. I will say this, he probably needs to choose to slam it here and there when the games are tight in the 4th. Sometimes his layups spin out due to contact and angles. I think as the season goes on and he gets in better conditioning and in a better flow, we will see more of his typical highlight worthy plays.

Zion is the most often countered player in the paint at this start of the season...
He's too predictable.
His offense plays must be more complete.

I just watched the clip. It wasn't that bad. They didn't bad mouth Zion or the Pelicans. They were just looking for answers the same as all of us. The one guy isn't sold on Ingram and Zion long term or just Zion with Adams. The lack of spacing is just obvious..
