Just released today

It’s amazing how the Knicks have sucked for so long. I honestly forget they’re even in the NBA.

Bought for $338 million to current value of $1.35B- Who cares if they are the least valuable franchise?

That's one hell of a return. Kind of like buying a football team for about $70 million and it being worth over $2.5 billion now.

I guarantee the Pelicans are worth more if the buyer is allowed to move the franchise. Nice return on investment for Gayle though.

I mean—why wouldn’t we expect to be last?

a team in Mississippi is prob the only team we’d be ahead of

I'm always surprised how the Phoenix teams aren't more valuable. Huge city and all the teams seem mid-market at best.

If the team was truly on the market, I’d bet they would easily sell for over $2B considering the fact we have Zion (one of the most universally beloved athletes in sports- except on this board lol) and the limited opportunities out there to actually buy an NBA franchise.

Figured we'd at least be above the Hornets.

That list almost exactly matches market size.

Out of 52 media markets for US pro sports teams, New Orleans ranks 50, with only Memphis and Buffalo as smaller markets.

Charlotte is number 21, by the way.

Yea I was surprised to see the hornets so low in valuation. Charlotte is a nice city that is exploding with growth.

I won't tell you, but:

-- the season tickets for four games on their home schedule are held by folks from Milwaukee;

-- this goes back to when they split their home schedule between Green Bay and Milwaukee;

-- which they did for most of their existence (1933-1994).
