Kyrie is overhated for sure. People hate the person and allow it to influence their opinion on his basketball skill. I think Kyrie is a good dude and better basketball player. Just misunderstood for sure.

Lol how is he misunderstood? I understand perfectly well that he’s a flat earth believing, science denying retard

KD’S legacy is already kind of ruined to the point where he will probably never be in the top 10 discussion.

If he goes back to Golden State, he drops out of the top 100.

I think KD is really good, but I’ve always kind of thought of him as a 125% Melo who decided to join a 73 win super team instead of trying to play with an aging Amare in New York.

My first question, what does this have to do with his basketball skill anyways?

Second, just because he has weird stupid theories about the shape of the earth doesn’t make him a pos head case like some make him out to be. Kyrie is far from an Antonio Brown type.

Kyrie has been very unstable ever since the Cavs won the title.

He basically had a “What now?” moment once he won a title and nothing changed for him. That caused him to force his way out of Cleveland and Boston and, arguably, caused a lot of his bullshite in Brooklyn.

That is separate from his political and scientific views.

I think AB was legit brain damaged on the field of play. I don't really hold that against him.

I don't know enough about Kyrie, but not getting the covid shot isn't something I hold against him. The dumb rules for not getting the shot were what is crazy.

I’m not emotional about it. It would simply be extremely damaging to his legacy to run back to Golden State.

I don’t think that’s just our government when it’s well known throughout the world.

Believing the earth is flat goes a bit against science. Could be wrong though.

I really want Bill Simmons to get either drunk or angry enough to spill all of what Kyrie did while he was in Boston.

The flat earth thing could be a troll. Being anti vaccine is not a basketball issue. What I'm not clear on is whether he's a team cancer or poorly responded to suboptimal situations.

That’s true, but that’s not at all how ghostbaw framed it.

He specifically noted the flat earth belief and then in addition he mentioned that he was a “science denying retard” as an additional intended strike against Kyrie.

And to be clear, the guy has enough other strikes to not turn a Kyrie fitting on a basketball team in 2022/2023 into a flat earther and/or vaccine status conversation.

Those are red herring arguments at best.

The cavs do not win without Kyrie. Point blank. The celtics shite was definitely out of line by kyrie I’ll give you that much.

Well they said kyrie would run his own practice after steve nash.

That could be a bit misleading and we should take that report with at least a little bit of hesitancy, because for a majority of the season, Kyrie wasn’t even allowed to play or practice with the team.

So yeah, maybe he did run some practices after Nash’s official practice to keep himself in basketball shape while New York sorted out their inconsistent vaccination rules.

I seriously doubt that Kyrie was running his own practices in the middle of the playoffs or anything.

From Woj:

quote:

ClutchPoints @ClutchPointsApp 1h

"The Lakers have yet, I'm told, to be aggressive in trying to put a deal together to get [Kyrie] from Brooklyn. That may come, that may evolve with time. But so far right now, there's no traction really on deals with either Irving or Durant."

It sounds like everyone is low balling them now. This makes it sound like maybe Lakers picks still aren't on the table. We know LeBron got pissed at the deadline because Pelinka wouldn't do what it took to make trades, which was include a 1st.
