Now they are saying the Lakers will tank this year to get a better draft pick for the trade.

And they have sources (lol) that Tatum will not be included with a Boston trade.

July 1st cant het here soon enough

Solution: stop watching/listening to/reading national media.

Their flunkies in the media can't cover up the dumpster fire. It will be blazing hard this summer after AD goes to Boston or NY and the Clippers land better FAs than the Lakers. How long will it take for the "Time to trade Lebron" rumors to start up?

I never thought of that. Oh, that would be hilarious! That will almost make all this junk worth it.

If lakers don’t do anything next year, they’re gonna be mediocre at best for a long time

I'm listening to 104.5 espn on tune-in radio.
It is still better than Kristen Garic and WWL. Their coverage on basketball sucks

For whatever it is worth, Davis is not going to sign an extension with anyone and will test free agency. His camp has been very upfront about that. That is going to drop his value, as most teams do not like have stars on expiring contracts. So he will be a one year rental for anybody that trades for him. That is his leverage and he is using it.

Now the only thing we have to decide is taking less value worth screwing him over for a year. I'm cool with it either way. The Lakers package is garbage. But it is a ton of pieces that a decent GM can flip for a lot of better assets. So it's not the end of the world, if we take it..

I mean the last Lakers off was 2 1sts, Hart, Ball, Pope, Ingram, Zubac, Kuzma and Pope.. that is an insane amount of value. Throw out Zubac and Pope, who will be FAs this offseason. That is 4 former 1st rounders (2 lottery picks) that are all under the age of 24. If you kept Kuzma and Hart, you could flip Ingram and Ball for picks or other players. Plus they would have taken Hill, opening up more cap space to absorb cast offs for more picks.

I get why they did it. But nobody else is offering us anything remotely close to that deal. That is basically 6 1st round picks, plus clearing like 30M in cap space. It was a great offer, but nobody here is ever going to admit it..

And it's gone. They wanted two playoffs. That offer will be greatly reduced.

I will be happy with Hart, Ingram and firsts in 2020 and 2022.
A nice haul.

AD = Playoffs in the Lakers minds.
Lebron's Stepchildren = No Playoffs in reality.
After missing the playoffs again the Lakers will be less willing to part with the non playoff making players for a player they believe will get them to the playoffs.
