Dwight Howard’s trainer: ‘He wants to evolve into Anthony Davis, into Kevin Durant, but his own version of that’

Should we?

He can't even shoot FT's at AD's rate.

Wow...I can't believe he is only 32...he has seemed long in the tooth for like 8 years now.

Honestly, the league has passed him by. He is a 15-20 minute guy in today's league.

Dwight feels like he should be retiring soon

He played in 81 games last year averaging just over 30 minutes a game (also going 16.6ppg/12.5rpg)

Dwight had a hell of a year last year. It kind of sucks because he's a locker room cancer, he could be a useful addition to a contending squad.

Dwight Howard is the emptiest stat line in the league and it’s not even close.

Thirty rebounds simply can't be empty man.

I mean that’s great and all, but how does he make anyone better? He’s a net negative and team cancer.

He’s a low-effort defender and a black hole on offense in a league that has moved on completely from his skill set. He can’t guard stretch bigs and his offense is limited to the restricted area. On top of these things, he turns the ball over a ton.

I'm not disagreeing about his locker room presence.

But to call him low effort defender? How many all defenses has he been on in his career?

If he couldn't still defend he wouldn't be in the league.

He’s a good rim presence, but he can’t guard outside of the paint, off the dribble, or in pick and rolls.

If this were 2000, he’d be just fine.
