I don't disagree with their assessment, but I think the last game really hurt Walker. He didn't have one of his better games and I think fatigue had a lot to do with his performance.

Imagine the best rookie there was not played 10 minutes and looked every bit the man amongst boys.

If Hayes can put it together physically (gaining about 20-25 pounds of muscle) and can learn to defend without fouling he could be the steal of the draft.

I would not be surprised if in 3-4 years Hayes is a perennial all star.

It's going to be awesome in a few years when ESPN pundits are scratching their heads wondering how Hayes wasn't picked before 8th.

if I were a billionaire i could pull OT 10s.

Learn to defend without fouling

some guys never figure it out.

Some guys pick up 2 or 3 quick ones and soon hit the bench.

Barrett regularly missed open teammates with the ball in his hands and tried to force his own offense rather than making the easy play. He has a long way to go with his decision making before he can successfully initiate offense at the NBA level on a consistent basis.

same as pre draft scouting report.

could you imagine when his body matures and if he can develop a jumper....could be a freak of nature center with wide receiver speed...

1. Brandon Clarke, F, Memphis Grizzlies

Brandon Clarke could be the NBA Draft’s secret superstar

Clarke delivered one of the most statistically dominant college basketball seasons of the decade at Gonzaga, so it should be no surprise he was also brilliant in Summer League. Clarke plays with breathtaking bounce on both ends of the floor, and knows how to deploy it effectively and efficiently. He thrives scoring around the basket as the dive man in the pick-and-roll and thinks a step ahead of everyone else defensively

I told youse. (Before the draft).

Hayes is some day.

Clarke is now.

Clarke will also be 23 years old in September.

so take Hayes who is not ready because he's young.

I see guys looking at pels like some long term.project.

Clarke is better now.
And will be for a couple of years and maybe forever.

And I have asserted you could have had Clarke and another first rounder for that 8th pick.

We'll see.
For now I've got both clarke and windler on my fantasy team (based on how the draft went) and you've got only Hayes.

If you play gm fantasy league take Clarke to open this season, not Hayes.
Morant is going to feed Clarke. And Clarke is a complete player.

I should look back at the pels pre draft threads.

Did guys want Hayes or is the current bromance making lemonade from.lemons ?
I was all in for Clarke.
I would have taken him 8th.

You mean to tell me he didn’t fix his weakness in a couple months? I’m shocked

Summer league doesn’t make you right. I liked Clarke a lot and can’t believe he dropped that far. Kinda reminds me of David West ‘s fall back in the day. And was for the same reason, they thought he was old and at his ceiling already. But I think even after summer league, I’d say 90% or more of GM’s would still take Hayes over Clark. There’s no denying the incredible potential he has.

If Clarke wouldn’t have shown out, I would have been very worried. It was expected. But no one was expecting Hayes to show out like he did as raw as he was in college.

Oh he looked so tired In that last game which was the second half of a back to back. You can’t blame him for that.

I wasn’t hating on Clarke. I was just saying I expect talented players with more experience to potentially do better in the beginning.

Clarke is number one because his team won summer league. Which happened because some guy who wasn't him hit a running three pointer with two seconds left. If the pels win then Hayes is very possibly in his spot. Clarke is going to be 23 in September. Hayes just turned 19. They basically had the exact same impact in summer league. If you don't see why every sane person would take Hayes then there's no discussing sports with you.

care to elucidate us on your judgement?

Do you disagree that hayes has a lot to learn whereas Clarke is ready now?

If Clarke is ready now, he's the better fantasy league choice.
