Do some of you out there(you know who you are) still believe it's destined for failure?

All 3 guards have played very well lately

I'll hang up and listen

I do think it is a bit of overkill. I'd prefer two great guards playing 30+ a game, which Holiday and Gordon can be. It's nice to have Evans if one of them is having an off night. But if they are playing well, there is no reason to sit one just to get Evans playing time. With Anderson starting now, Aminu is a necessity to play along side of him for defense for rebounding. So it's hard to play the 3 guards together. I just think it's a bit of a waste of money that could have been used to strengthen the frontcourt..

On balance, I think it'll turn out to be a good thing in the long run.

Based on injuries, it probably will be. It'll just be tough when the whole team is healthy (if that ever happens). Someone is going to have to sit..

I think there are long term plans to resolve the issue.

Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

The front office is going to lose the trade to the fans unless it is EG for something good. Everyone else the fans seem to really like.

I think a good 3 point shooting SF would work much better than EG still. Big SFs/Quick PFs like John Leur, luol deng, kevin durant, etc. seem to have an easy time vs this team. It's hard to play a 3 guard lineup all the time. Even tayshaun prince got a couple easy putbacks tonight.

The 3 guards are working, but they're not playing at the same time very much and they're not finishing the game together, which isn't good imo.

Jrue is necessary, he is creating A LOT for EG and ryno. Tyreke plays a huge roll in getting to the rim, but i'm not convinced a SF can't do that.

Although EG had a huge night tonight, he got a lot of open looks from Jrue and still didn't go for 30 or close the 4th out like a dominant scorer should. I think EG plays very well as the 2nd option.

I still am not sure who the first option is, but i'm not sure we need one anymore. Monty is doing a great job getting this team to play like a unit. There aren't nearly as much isos with everyone standing around as there used to be. This win reminded me of a spurs win. It was just clean and nice and Jrue running a motion offense is getting the job done. On important possessions, Jrue is running plays where we used to just give EG the ball at the top of the key (which won't work).

The way they're playing now can work if our guards are shooting near 50% every night. They need to carry a big scoring load and have a high fg% with the money they're making. If they can do that, i'll be happy.

The key piece is aminu imo. If he can step up and really defend big 3s well, we can roll with this 3-5 and have a strong, strong backcourt. It will be nice.

It's looking like it's starting to come together, but the keys have been Aminu, ryno, smith, and our big guys stepping up en lieu of any big $ big guys imo. It's a cohesive unit. Ryno is so impressive with his consistent 3 point shooting.

Let's hope it can work. I definitely enjoyed the 3 guards tonight. EG is playing off ball better than i thought he would, tonight was the first night i enjoyed having him here in a long, long time.
