And a combined record of 6-13. I think people need to hold off on christening this team as playoff bound much less contenders.

Know how to get to the playoffs? Beat sub 500 teams at a high rate, beat above 500 teams sometimes. That gets you a 6th-8th seed more often than not.

This year is different. Memphis looks like they are a playoff lock if Conley/Gasol stay healthy. That means instead of 7 teams fighting for 4 spots there are 6 teams fighting for 3. The Pels not only have to beat the bad teams, they have to beat the other teams they are battling with for playoff positioning. With such a tight race it could come down to tie breakers. Beating Minnesota at home is is probably the most important game to win in this upcoming stretch. Hopefully they go 5-0, but if they drop one they should do it to an Eastern conference team.

I just don’t understand the negativity associated with this team. Yes, uncle Al and dealing dell leave a lot to be desired, but we have a relatively stable situation, a great game day experience, and an entertaining product on the court.

It's PTSD. 10 years ago this team looked like it was on it's way to contention. Since then more years than not have been a huge disappointment regardless of how much talent on paper the team had.
