but would like to keep BI, Murphy, Jones, and Dyson.
4 wings that you can't play together, can't even play 3 at the same time extended minutes..

The more and more I think about it, the more I'm willing to trade Zion.
He's been here four years and it's been nothing but drama. Griff is on the record saying how stressful it was to build a team around LeBron and maintain that.
We've never gotten concrete evidence that Zion wants to be here. Always felt more like "damage control" when he'd make any public comments alluding to the rumors.
I do think Scoot and Zion would be dynamite together on the court, however, I think they'd also get figured out. Zion hasn't shown a willingness to expand his game since he's been here and with Scoot being such a downhill player getting to the paint, I wonder if the spacing would be off. I don't think they compliment each other long term. BI, on the other hand, has expanding his game every year. I think they could be a better fit. Just need a vertical spacing big and a stretch four to maximize Scoot's talent.

Only a week ago he was trying to move several different women here.. what more do you want?

BI + Herb + Trey was one of our best big minute 3 man lineup combinations last year. It amazes me how consistently horrible your takes are. Truly never fails

Yea I mean why would we want to play an elite shooter, an elite defender, and a strong shot creator together? Even on paper that sounds like an awesome 3 man fit lol

I told someone the other day Zion is the one of our two star players that actually lives in NOLA full time, I don’t understand the narrative of people still saying he doesn’t want to be here.

Huh? This is a really dumb take, Mark. You have 2 guys that can guard 1-4, an all-star 3-level scorer, an elite 3 point shooter than can potentially guard 3-5. If Herb and Dyson can approach league-average from 3, there is no reason those 4 can't be part of a very legit closing lineup.

Thats just not true. BI and trey can shoot. Dyson and herb are active cutters who make good decisions.

I honestly think the only player I wouldn't trade for Scoot is BI. The rest are kind of dependent on what else we have to give up.

Starting to think this is something was never actually in the cards and that this is possibly just an attempt to send a clear message to Zion that he’s no longer immune to trade discussions. So get it together or you’re out

Mac has some interesting tweets stating our analytics dept is high on keeping Zion and trading BI on Scoot but willie, griff and CJ prefer trading Zion for Scoot. He also has stated both portland and charlotte prefer BI to Zion. Givony on espn even stated Pelicans offering BI to Hornets on draft night could change things up. Remember Kupchack (formerly of Lakers) drafted BI in LA and is a huge fan as well. If Charlotte prefers BI, it just depends on if Pels are willing to part with him for Scoot. Thats a hard sell considering how much BI has been touted the leader of this group.

This isn’t a message to Zion. I think they really really like Scoot. I’m not saying this trade will happen but dont be surprised if it does.

Sure but not like any of these other local guys are saying anything. Take with a grain of salt.

You have no idea what you're talking about, and have admitted as much

This has been the most ridiculous talking point I have heard from people. (I don’t mean just you)
Hey Zion, we’ll trade you back to the Carolina’s to play with your bff’s brother, Lamelo. Yeah, that’ll show him.
Posted on 6/14/23 at 8:33 am to PELsu
Oh you mean the kind of thing that organizations do all the time to show a player is expendable? How insane
Posted on 6/14/23 at 8:36 am to SCLSUMuddogs
Yes, insane is a good word. I think Zion would embrace a trade from NO to Charlotte. That’s ridiculous to pretend that is some sort of threat. Are we going to threaten him with more strippers next to make sure we mean business?
Posted on 6/14/23 at 8:38 am to SCLSUMuddogs
Ok let me ask you this? What happens if this pisses Zion and his crew off and they demand a trade? This is literally not what you want to do and in all honesty with superstars not the smartest thing to do in todays NBA.
