Select your 2021 draft pick depending on the range of where we finish the year.

Who would you pick if we finished in these places in the draft order:
1st pick (probably not likely, but who knows)
2nd-7th pick range (decent chance of finishing here)
8th-14th pick range (good chance of finishing here)
15th and below pick range (probably not likely, but possible).
So who you got that has at least an arguable chance of being available in each of these ranges?

1st- Cunningham
2nd-7th- Suggs, Mobley, Jalen Green, Kuminga, Moody, Kispert in that order
8th-14th- Really have no clue when it gets to this area, Barnes, Bouknight, or Ziare Willams maybe
After 14th - I think Davion Mitchell from Baylor or Miles McBride from WVU may be the steal of the draft
I also want to stay the hell away from Cam Thomas

I’d like a 2 guard - Moody or Kinsey should be available in the 5-10 range, both shoot well from 3

I've seen a couple of mock drafts that put Ziare Williams to the Pels (where they predict the Pels will land in the draft) or to the team they predict will draft right before or right after us.
I don't know much about him honestly, but it might be worth it just to have Zion Williamson and Ziare Williams on the same team.

Hard Pass on Cam Thomas. The only thing he’s really good at is shooting free throws.
Also, anyone we draft needs to be a plus defender that can at least switch across 3 positions, because right now our 2 franchise cornerstones are below average defenders that are likely to improve, but never truly be elite defensively.

Zion can be elite defensively.

He’d have to improve understanding, find a position he can guard and probably lose some weight to do that. I know he’s young. I’m just not seeing it right now. Even at Duke, he wasn’t elite defensively. He was just in better shape and more athletic than everyone else.
You also have to factor in the offensive load Zion and Ingram have to carry. If Zion just becomes average at guarding 3’s and 4’s, that’s probably good enough. We just need to surround he and ingram with Marcus Smart type players that can shoot to maximize their potential as a tandem.

Not to hijack, but I'd love to grab Garza. He is going to shoot up the draft, especially if he has a big tournament. He'd be a nice partner to Zion..

Garza has potential to be the worst defensive center of all time in the NBA
Speaking of defense, I know we just drafted a small fast PG in Kira, but another name to look at in the mid-later part of the 1st is Ayo Dosunmu from Illinois

Yeah, I just went down the Kispert rabbit hole and I am all in on him. I want Kispert and Garza out if the draft..
