If the Hornets trade on draft day and get either a late first rounder or early second rounder i say scott machado would be a great pick, and that minny pick could be used on a forward or center. He averages 9.9 assists per game(leads NCAA) and 13.6 ppg.

Do not want. Anybody but him.

Nothing personal, I just don't think his skill set transfers well to the NBA

I'm nervous about all the prospects...with the exception of Davis and maybe Robinson

I agree with you, so many unsure players out there.

But I think starters can be had if you draft based on what your team needs (like us getting machado)

Robinson, T. Zeller, and Machado would be nice.

I'm nervous in general. Because if we get Davis, that likely means we won the lottery. If he's a bust, that sets the team back quite a bit. I just want someone who will be a solid starter for years to come.

I don't think Davis will be a bust. If he "busts" it will be him never developing offensively, that would still make him a game changing defensive player. The original comparisons were to Camby but he's played so well for most of the season and blown up expectations enough that Camby is probably his floor. Drafting another Camby wouldn't be terrible. He was a quasi All Star that won defensive player of the year at his peak, and again, that's probably Davis' floor.

I'd love to have a Camby, but we'd need to put offensive talent around him since he wouldn't be putting up points.

We have Gordon for that at the 2, but would need a true second option behind him because I don't think that is Ariza and it's sure not Oak.
