we could send 3 1sts (maybe a LAL and 2 Bucks picks) to Pacers along with bench players like Hayes, Sato, Temple, Kira,

So you want to send out half the picks we got in the AD and Jrue trades and likely the best three out of both of the trades along with two lottery pick players we drafted? So a total of 5 frp or players just for Fox??? That’s a hella of alot more than what we got for Jrue.

I agree 3 1sts would be much. Temple, Kira, and Sato are a meaningless 18 mil right now so idk what you are talking about. Hayes could be worth it to develop but you shouldn’t let him stop you from getting a star or great player. It’s not hella a lot more than the Jrue trade and Fox is a 24 y/o who has been on the edge of all star appearances.

You could argue Adams/ Bledsoe are about the same return as Hayes, Sato, Temple, Kira. We got 2 1sts and a future swap. That’s way different than 3 1st for someone who is 6 years younger at the time of the trade?

This could be somewhat of a realistic offer as well. They could want 2 1sts, Sato, and Hart for Fox. Or 3 1sts Sato, Kira, Hayes, Temple. The 5 frp thing only works if they are worth a shite. You’d rather us add Herb in there instead of Hayes and Kira because he was picked in the 2nd round?

Fox seems like a poor man's Westbrook. No thanks.

I completely understand your point especially with his contract, but a poor man's Westbrook would be a huge improvement for us. Right now we have a poor man's Lonzo Ball

I don't think there is anything poorer then Westbrook now. He has got to be the worst player in the NBA

Hayes and Kira have very little value. Neither have shown to be anything more than fringe NBA players thus far. The 3 FRP are not overly desirable given they are Laker/Bucks picks. What have we gotten for the Lakers assets thus far? This is a far better return and still allows us to keep our picks.

What? The bucks picks are 3 and 5 years out. You honestly think that team will look the same a half decade from now? And look at the lakers, already trending down. And we can get their pick another two years from now. It just might be valuable.
Some of you are so shortsighted. No way I’m giving up that last lakers pick or that last bucks pick. They are untouchable.

Hell the one this year looks like it might be right outside the lottery which is still a pretty good pick. Players like Herro and Halliburton have went in that range recently. Just have to know how to draft….

We could have had Garland with one of the lakers picks if Griff wasn’t an idiot…

Herro and Haliburton were both inside the lottery

Reread. I did not say leave them unprotected. I said we would have to decide the protections to add.

I also agree.
Unprotected they are pretty much untouchable, unless it gets us a star, and i wouldn't deem Fox that star i'd give up those picks for.
I would be willing to trade them if they are lottery protected.
The Lakers pick in 2025 could be a top 5 pick.
The Bucks 25 pick is going to be late lottery unless Giannis is out for the year. The 27 pick is too far out there to have any indication of what it might be. At this point, you have to assume Giannis isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and even if they start slipping and he asks to be traded, they are going to get a kings ransom for him so they probably still won't be a bad team unless they go full rebuild, but again, it's way too early to see that.
