Boston could destroy that package. They could trade Brown, Hayward, Williams, 3 1sts this year (14, 26, 30) and a future 1st (2022) for Harden and Gordon.. Houston gets to dump Gordon and a tons of assets.. Boston has a monster trio (Walker, Harden and Tatum) and would be a contender for the next 2-3 years..
There is no way Boston would trade a controlled asset like brown, who has yet to hit his potential, and trade for Harden. He's borderline untouchable and that leaves them vulnerable still against elite big men. Their current setup with patience or making a trade for a big man would make them contenders for 5+ years.
Now if you say Washington with beal? Philly with Simmons? Indy with sabonis? Sure

So if Boston offered that, would it be a better deal? Houston would jump at that, right?

Harden and CP3 would be a formidable duo. I could see that working.

That's not a realistic deal. Considering they only wanted to part with brown IF it gave them AD. AD's value is higher than harden's. On top of the fact that there's a trade for fit and Harden does not fit that system and somehow they go from 3 wings to 1, yet still not addressing their lack of a big man.
By that argument, we should just throw in Ingram instead of jrue.
I stand by that argument, there's not many teams who would generate better trades.

This is the key to getting Boom unbanned from Pels talk

Anyone else hopes this advertising slogan disappears? Never liked it.
...who am I kidding. I'm still a fan of "Do it Big" Doesn't work without two elite bigs anymore, but still.

He always has the ball in his hands
Harden is a hell of a passer

He always has the ball in his hands
Harden has the ball in his hands so much and makes plays in iso. But when he doesn't have the ball in his hand, he offers nothing to an offense, he basically takes those plays off to rest up for when he'll get the ball next play.
That's just not what this team needs with Ingram and Zion, unless we would be extremely confident he was willing to completely change his game up to fit this team's style.

Supposedly the Bulls are floating packages. The one I saw was Porter, Lavine, Markkanen and pick #4 for Harden and Gordon. Seems like a good deal for both sides.. Honestly, I think that is a better package than we got for Davis..

Because Harden plays an unrealistic brand of non winning basketball.
He gets trashed in the playoffs.
He would hinder Zion and BI, who are the future at this point.
We would rather have a young team roll like the Celtics than sell the house for a turd like Harden.

That's guaranteed 80-90pts a night between three guys.
A 30-30-30 GAME has only happened a few times in NBA history and you think we might could average those type of numbers for an entire season?

Listen, I’ll be the first to say that Harden does rely on a lot of tricks and exploitations that play well in the regular season but come a bit unglued in the post season, but let’s keep in mind his team was an injury away from shocking an all time historical Warriors team the other year.
There is also nothing I have seen where if you have Harden, say, replacing Steph on the Warriors, that such a team wouldn’t win multiple championships as well.

Harden has lacked competent offensive players next to him in Houston. Zion & Ingram would immediately shoot up to two of the best players he’s played with, outside of Westbrook this past season. Both Ingram & Zion are better compliments to Harden than Westbrook.

For sure - Pels were one of the worse teams in the bubble. It was beyond pathetic. And Jrue and Lonzo were worthless getting the Pels to a winning season. Dump them in a flash.

Only on this board do people believe that Ingram is superior to Westbrook..
