Just putting it OUT there, but has anyone else heard whispers of giving him the Blake Griffin treatment and keeping him out all season? Hearing either way it’s gonna be longer than the 6-8 week turntable

No.

The Pelicans have said he is on schedule, as well.

On top of that, Reggie Miller talked out of his arse last night saying he didn't think Zion would play all season. After the next commercial break he promptly corrected himself and said he was due back the 2nd week of December.

That was clearly Pelicans FO calling TNT and telling them to correct his bullshite.

Where are these whispers coming from?

Btw you could very well be right, but they better get that shite figured out and not have any lingering effects if it is the case. Get those muscles in and around his knee in top shape.

I think it’d have to be way worse than it is. Only way I see that happening is if he comes back and something else happens complicating him getting all the way back to 100%.

I don't really see any benefit from doing that. Once he's fully healthy he needs to play in order to adjust and improve.

Talking out of his arse or saying something on air that he might have heard from people in the league and Griff didn’t like it? Don’t really see Reggie making a proclamation like that and running with it if there wasn’t some kind of SMOKE . I have no confirmation either way, just something to KEEP an eye on

Considering two quarters earlier he said Zion wouldn't play until New Year's I'm gonna go with talking out his arse.

I had the same surgery on both knees. It would be an absolute joke if he was out for the season.

I ran 5 miles this morning. Age 52.

He has the chance to get 50+ games of experience, why the frick would you redshirt him?

Not like his injury would be keeping him out until February

So what you're saying is that you heard Reggie Miller guess the same thing last night and have translated that into "whispers."

why the frick would you redshirt him?

Its not 5 to play 4 in college.

He can play as long as someone will give him a contract.

There is absolutely no reason to hold him out all year. He would be 100% healthy for the last 4 months of the season. The Pels would get crushed nationally, just like the Nationals did with Strasburg in 2012. This, to me, is not even a discussion worth having.
