Reputation comes with time. Once they started to move away from the silly trade rumors, they instantly became better. Those misses has really left a sour taste in people's mouth.

They have their value and some of the stuff they put out there are very useful. But getting people's hopes up the way one of their staff member continually did for quite some time is the reason why they aren't better regarded.

As long as they continue to stay off the trade rumors, they can begin to be taken seriously. I guarantee you that if it will happen if they continue their current course.

If someone can't tell the difference between one writer and another, nothing to be done.

If someone manage their own 'hope' or learn not to listen to soneone they assess as a fool, nothing to be done.

Whine and complain about trade rumors or whatever, but you discuss them, you read them, you remember them. The whiners' behavior is counter to their in-the-record whining. Hypocrisy.

The factual articles get no read, no leg, no credit. Hypocrisy.

The claims of arrogance an ineptitude come from people who fail to produce a fact, a position, an ounce of contribution but feel that can jusge those who try to help this team, community, and city. Hypocrisy.

Many a good poster here. Some are just so sad, but too annoying to actually be pathetic.

Personally, I think analysis is the best focus for that site.

Yes.

The X and O video break down pieces are good. Schwan's advanced stats pieces are good (is it me or does he do less of those these days?) Your business pieces are very informative and good.

The nature of the beast is that player speculation will draw eyeballs and comments. I wouldnt be shocked to hear Missing Piece is far and away your most popular series. Its mainly spitballing potential players the team will acquire- which is why McNamara drives people nuts.

Even here, its the same thing- draft/FA/TRADE MACHINE/etc threads are popular and numerous. And theres nothing wrong with that. Its fun to talk about, especially after these past 2 years.

Im very thankful you guys do bring analysis to the team. With the TP being terrible and ATH infrequently updated, no one else even tries.

Between Pelicans Talk, Pelicans Report, Twitter I think it's fair to assume that 1000 people could see a damning comment made by 42 towards McNamara. Thinking that 100+ wouldn't see it is downright moronic.

BSS is quite simply the best, most thorough, and entertaining sports website I've ever read. That's with no bias whatsoever to my team. Need proof, read the crap that places like B/R and ESPN put out. Then go look at the other truehoop sites. All 29 pale in comparison to what we are lucky enough to have. These guys work hard to bring us great information about a team that no one else out there gives any effort to write about unless we are winning. So thanks to everyone involved with BSS, from me and every other loyal member who reads the site for what it is.

I like BSS, but you're currently reading the most entertaining sports website you've ever read.

I don't read 24/7/BSS enough to make a thorough analysis, but I admire the fact that they make the time and effort. Plus I've seen some interesting articles and analysis there from time to time. So what if one guy floats rumors out there. Maybe he should scale back, but it happens on every site on the net.

I think it's just easy for people to sit back and take potshots at something and sometimes that's unfortunate.
