re: Random Playoff Observations Thread
That’s true, but Luka almost borderline ignores the guy and passes to the opposite side of the court on most possessions. It might just be random as Luka actually has many more shooters to choose from. That’s not the case with Zion. I could see him finding and relying on Porz more than Luka currently does.

Porz wouldn’t be my first, 2nd or even 5th target this offseason, but if nothing else shakes loose and we have the opportunity to unload Bled and Adams without having to attach many assets for a former all star, stretch big that is young and can block shots far better than anyone we currently have on our team, I would consider it. We would be a better team with Porz than without him. I’d have to have a conversation with Porz first though. He has a rep of being a bit disgruntled. I wouldn’t want to trade for a guy that really doesn’t want to be here. But who knows, I think the guy really hates being in Dallas with a passion, so maybe he’d be open to coming here and not being a complete sour puss.

really sucks that we have to have a big board of players that "would be open to playing and living in New Orleans"

They should rename Lake Ponchatrain to the Bay of Orleans.

I suppose most of the New Orleans hate from free agents stems from the team having a longstanding reputation as one of the cheapest, penny-pinching franchises in the league

The Pelicans have BAD coaching, player evaluations, general management while the Saints have a top level coaching staff, player evaluation and management. The ONLY common factor is the owner and Loomis overseeing both franchises.

I'm sure Porz would have all-star level at Pels (we must trade Adams ofc).
He can be good at the rim (he was good at Knicks) and he's a good shooter...

Zion hasn't 90% the ball of the game moreover. Porzingis would have a lot of touches thus.

BUT

His max contract and his injury prone side is bad...

Why do NBA players hate living in Nola? They’re woke and this is chocolate city so what gives?

Don’t mind Huerter also. I wonder if we can do a sign and trade for Huerter or Hunter

The sign and trade for huerter or hunter ship has sailed baw.

The time to trade for Trae, Huerter, Hunter or any of those other Hawks guys was 3-4 months ago. We missed it.

I don’t see why the Bensons have a cheap reputation. They have given huge contracts to NFL and NBA players. They have hired recognizable coaches. They have upgraded the Superdome and SKC. They are in an absolute awesome location.

New Orleans is full of crime and bad politics, but so is every other larger city. Cost of living is low so they can easily isolate themselves from the bs. They have frick you money to travel where ever they want to vacation and visit. I would say SA, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, and NOLA should be legit places to play due to cost of living especially for non-superstars on smaller contracts.

Honestly, you'd think they would consider trading Reddish and Bogdanovich/Huerter to improve at the backup PG/#3 guard spot.

I wonder if there's a realistic possibility if a guy like NAW or Kira improves enough during the season that we could get one of Bogdanovich/Huerter in a trade.

I think the forgotten hero of these playoffs is the crowd. The Utah game was awesome the crowd was so much fun.

Also really like Utahs court

Atlanta should be a dark horse team in the Lonzo sweepstakes. He would fit great next to Trae. They don't have the cap space, but could get him in a sign and trade.

Heurter S&T and Reddish for Lonzo S&T and 2022 1st would be a great deal to make for both teams.
