Purely hypothetical: would you trade Zion for Jokic? If not who?

Well obviously Curry but the only other guys I’d even entertain an offer would be Luka Doncic, Jokic or Giannis. No on Durant because of injuries. Lillard is older and I still take Zion if Lillard was 23. Kawhiwould be interesting if he was 5 years younger but probably still no. Don’t even think about AD’s vaginabrow. This is purely for fun who would y’all trade Zion for? For me probably nobody but Curry, Jokic or Luka.

No way.

Just wait till Zion gets his 15 ft jumper.

I think that the only appropriate answer to this question is Luka. Any other response is going to be a player that is too old or too overvalued.

I think he’s already got close to that he had some nice 10-12 foot shots. I want him to work on his 3 ball and just go all out on defense. If he can shoot a sustained 33% clip from outside he could become more unstoppable than Shaq was.

Wait what?

The only answer to this is Luka.

I put Curry in there because you have to. He’s the best shooter the game has ever and maybe will ever be. I fully agree with Luka though. I’d take Luka just over Jokic and them Curry a good bit behind Jokic for 3rd only because he’s 33 years old.

Same money and length, Jokic. Proven he can lead a team deep into the playoffs. Gotta full bag on offense and defense is better. Not sure Zion does anything better than him on the court save for dunking the basketball

Also the first Serbian settlement in the US was in New Orleans. The boys would love Joker

I think the list is two.

Jokic and Luka

Everyone else is too old or injury prone.

Giannis would be a maybe but I think Zion will be better than him.

I honestly wouldn't trade Zion for anyone, his ceiling is too high.

I agree it’s either Luka or Jokic. I’d take Luke over Jokic but it would be paper thin close. I wouldn’t even put Giannis in the kid now that I think about it. He’s 26 and right now a 20 year old Zion is right up there with him. By the time he’s Giannis’ age I think he will be much better than he ever was for the Bucks.

I would currently take Jokic, Giannis and Doncic instead of Zion...
It's not safe to say Zion will be an elite defender like Giannis...I would take Zion instead of Giannis if he arrives to be a better shooter.

Curry is one of the best PG of all time, but he’s 33 so this response is stupid.

Doncic and that’s it for me.

Jokic is 26 and you only have two years guaranteed with him til he could bolt. Giannis is in a similar situation.

Curry is expiring and 33. Trading Zion for him would be insane for New Orleans. Lillard is 30 and while you could have him for another 4 seasons, it’s extremely risky because Curry is one of the few undersized shoot first guards that has defied the post-30 decline, and no guarantee Lillard does.

I would trade him for a 26 year old Lebron, any other answer is wrong.

Zion's ceiling is unlimited, there's no other player in the NBA you can say that about.

Doncic is the only player that I think is valued higher than Zion currently.

Only if we are pretending contracts and the cap doesn't exist.

Jokic and Giannis are past their first contracts and are unrestricted free agents at the end of their respective ones.

No way in hell would I trade a 21 year Zion for a 33 year old Curry. I wouldn’t trade Zion at this point for Michael Jordan when he was 33.

I think people missed the point about me including Curry. I didn’t mean I would trade Zion for him, I wouldn’t. That would make no basketball sense. I mentioned him only because it’s Steph Curry and with any mention of superstars you have to include him.its Luka or Jokic. Giannis would be very tough but I think I’d take the gamble that Zion will be better than Giannis is at his age. This is all just talk because none of it would ever happen I just wanted to see who would actually agree to trade Zion and who wouldn’t for any price.
