He was either in the owners box at a Saints game this season, or maybe Payton got him to give a motivational speech before a game or something like that. It's a pretty weak tie compared to the other 2.

I can do this too.
Marc Spears is a hack who i'm glad Seth Dunlap took a blow torch to the other night over how awful he is. He plays up this,"im from New Orleans" angle when he wants to pretend to be some Pelicans authority, but ultimately just shits on the city whenever he can, which is why he had no problem helping Boogie lie about the organization.
There's are reason he tweeted that without any kind of context or follow up. He knows people are gonna snicker at how dumb it would be for us to hire any of those guys.

Yeah pretty much just the motivational speech. Jimmy Buffet also can't be ruled out due to his ties

That’s the laziest reporting ever. Just because these guys have ties to New Orleans and basketball doesn’t mean it has anything to do with team. It shows how little the mainstream media has intel within the organization. It’s almost to stupid to respond too. You might as well add Birdman, Shaq, and Dan Dickau.
